you know, for all the nazi references in that, it bears strikingly little resemblance to the way the nazis actually came to power. i actually can't think of any dictator whose rise it does explain. but there've been a lot of them, so perhaps there are some i'm just blanking on.

Meh, Hayek has done better. This wasn't so much a book about economics as a giant Godwin aimed at Socialists.
He's got some good ideas, but given that the only sample he really used was Germany, it isn't all that strong an argument.
