The Iranians bought the system - it has yet to be shipped and installed. They also bought a lot of shoulder-fired missiles, which have very limited range.

The standoff range of a B-2 bomber is further than the shoulder-fired missile will reach. It can drop a JDAM and head to the next target, staying completely out of reach of the shoulder-fired stuff.

I don't believe for a moment that whatever the Iranians have purchased will have a chance of bringing down a B-2.

We have more to worry about what Iran will do in retaliation after we bomb their nuclear facilities - say, send their three Kilo submarines out into the Persian Gulf to sink a few tankers...

If we bomb, we have to be ready for full-scale war.

I am convinced, especially after the comment from Iran that they indeed plan on removing Israel if the Europeans do not act quickly to take all the Jews back, that Iran is planning on confronting the West (along with Syria) over Israel.

The war is about to begin, whether we like it or not. If we all just stand there waiting for them to make the first move, they most certainly will.

Ahmadinejad: Israel 'will be removed'

Tehran (dpa) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the Palestinians and "other nations" will eventually remove Israel from the region.

Addressing a mass demonstration in Tehran - one of many organized throughout Iran to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the Islamic revolution - he once again questioned the Holocaust "fairy tale".

"We ask the West to remove what they created sixty years ago and if they do not listen to our recommendations, then the Palestinian nation and other nations will eventually do this for them," Ahmadinejad said in a ceremony marking the 27th anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

"Do the removal of Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations," the ultra-conservative president said. He once again called the Holocaust a "fairy tale" and said Europeans have become hostages of "Zionists" in Israel.
