How do you think China would have turned out if the Yellow Turbans had defeated the Han?

I may have too much time on my hands but I also have a short attention span.

Pretty much the same, considering you are talking about a rebellion that happened nearly 2000 years ago.

I can't imagine much would have been different. It was 2000 years ago, and even if they'd been successful, a peasant revolution would have lasted only so long before the aristocracy reclaimed their positions.

That's a good question for a history forum, but I don't think you'll find too many people interested in this topic around here. And you'll find even fewer people who know enough about that period to make a good guess.

Actually, the peasant leader would have probably become the new Emperor, and his followers the new aristocracy. The first Ming emperor was the leader of such a peasant uprising.

I suppose they'd all be wearing yellow turbans :p

Well, this gives me something to read up on I guess. Actually, I knew a webcomic playing in this time, I think.. Although that's not necessarily an accurate source of historical information.

We'd be right out of WW4 now, and the leading super-power would be the Åland-Hungary union, with Red Canada as a strong counterpart. We would have plasma-powered flycycles and monorails from New New Orleans in the Confederate Free Black State to the bitter wastelands of Nya Köpenhamn, New Zeeland. Everyone would have tracking implants in their skulls and the powerful new drug sugar is enslaving more and more people. The world population would be 40 billion and there'd be no trees left, only ferns.

Don't ask me to explain this, I simply know!

And yet sadly, they weren't even really turbans. Or all that yellow for that matter.

Never mind.

Now that I've recovered, Åland would obviously be the world's leading superpower. With enough ferries to deploy its massive army anywhere in the world. Not to mention having Jesus that founded the Åländsk monarchy in Mariehamn. Along with Hungary, which is really just a satilite state of Finland, and the world's leading orbital nuclear missile platform. On Mars. All because of some guys in Yellow Turbans, that weren't all that yellow, in China. :p
