How stupid are people?
OK, I followed a link to a video clip of a program called "Kicked in the Nuts" - which just consists of random people being kicked in the nuts by a guy in a stupid wig.
And the audience were laughing their heads off as if it was the funniest thing in the world.
Now, this reminded me of the 'happy slap' phenomenon in England, where chavs use mobile phone cameras to film themselves beating up random people.
I have three questions:
1. How can people be such fucking retards?
2. How is this program legal? Is it just because the victims don't press charges? Considering that its in the US, I'd expect that wig guy to have been shot by now.
3. Are the type of people who think assault is funny the same kind of idiots who think wigs/hats are funny?

1. Because being stupid in this era does not always lead to death, thus stupid people pass on their stupid genes to the next stoopid generation
2.I have no idea, but clearly it is or it would't have got to the stage of being aired
3. Wigs/hats can be funny, assault generally isn't. In any case I see no concievable link between the two

The nice thing about groin kicks is that sometimes they halt breeding.
These guys want to get kicked in the balls for the enjoyment of others, who are we to interfere?
In fact, I find kicks to the groin to be absolutely hilarious. Especially when it isn;t me. Can you tg me the link?

They don't want to. Like I said, they're just random people going about their lives.

Yes, "random" people, I'm sure.
Just like how when Bush takes "random" questions from people in the crowd. No, certainly aren't any plants or secretive things being done in either case. Nope.

Oh, please. It's an obvious set-up. It was staged. And the 'victims' names are all in the credits.
I laughed. Thanks for the link. :)

Hey, thanks for the link it was pretty funny even if it is staged.
*WUMP* kicks kzord in the nuts and runs away laughing madly:D

Fair enough, then. I didn't really watch it for very long. I tried to see if it was staged by looking on wikipedia but the article was lacking in information.

I would think that the humor comes from the relief people experience seeing this and thinking "I am so grateful I am not that stupid!"
Then again, the people that would think that are probably already on the low end of intelligence. IMO, any reasonably thinking person would recognise it as battery and find no humor in it at all.

I find a lot of stupid things funny (I couldn't stop laughing for about 10 minutes when I saw a pizza guy slogging through the foot of snow outside an hour ago) but I never "got" kick to the groin.

Didn't Family Guy have this guy on their show? You know the guy that kicked Peter in the nuts?
Also, why are people about to kill the guy after getting kicked, but when they're told they're on "Kicked in the Nuts", they laugh? I would still kick the guy's ass even if I was on Television.

Yes. Mike Henry(the creator of the video) is the voice of Cleveland and a writer on the show. :)

i generally prefer silly (or witty or random or whatever) to stupid... especially when its laughing at someone else being stupid cos that's just not really funny to me.
i'm not really sure if i could quantify whats funny to me... things just are or aren't. can't really explain it *shrugs*
but people falling off bikes/falling over/being hit with balls/being hit in the balls/running into things/the other crap they have on those sorts of shows just isn't really funny to me. apart from anything else, i tend to just go "ow fuck i bet that hurt" and wince, rather than laugh

Because it's a set-up. :p
Even if they only showed the good sports on the video, think of all the deleted ass-kickings the guy would have gotten between useable takes. :p
Not to mention assault charges.

Yeah, and another point, why do they look when he points at the camera? If a guy had just kicked me and then pointed at something I'd assume he was trying to distract my attention so he could hit me.

once again, because it isn't real. it was set up. did you notice that the audience is in a theater? and that it is different audiences (chairs are different)? And that they are all listed in the credits?
I laughed when the little kids got kicked. I'm a bad person.

If laughing when little kids get kicked in the groin is wrong, then I don't want to be right. :)

Yeah, I was asking "why" as a rhetorical, because I agree that it must have been staged, and was putting forward further evidence.

Child. And it's me you should worry for. :p
did you guys know that in every crappy sitcom and every crappy show, its the same 1920's charlie chaplain audience voice recording?
Child. And it's me you should worry for. :p

who else can say not only that their father encouraged them to play in the mud, but actually was the one who started it.

This reminds me of the time I kicked a boy in the nuts because he kissed me on the cheek while standing in the lunch line. What? I was in 2nd grade. Jimmy Stroh...bless his heart. We ended up being great friends in highschool.
See.... a kick in the nuts isnt always a bad thing.
