The Best of the Best
Where can you get the best of the best?? For example, although I have never been there, I am told the Cheesecake Factory in Chicago has THE BEST cheesecake in the world......
I am going to throw out "Woofies" in St. Louis, MO as one of the contenders for the greatest Hot Dogs (although I am sure there will be alot of comments from Nathans Hot Dog fans, which are also quite yummy.)
What do you think is the best of the best, and where can you get it?? (If it is something not widely known of, you may want to tell us what the dish is as well)

Jake's burgers (www.jakeshamburgers.com) are the best hamburgers ever. Also, they have really great shakes, but there are probably better somewhere.
(Incidentally, if you want to go vote in thier poll, it's a travesty to have that nasty orange cream winning, and I think someone stacked the vote. Vote for mint or black raspberry or something other than orange.)

Best baguette at a Parisian bakery, around the corner from where I used to live.
They won the 'best baguette' contest, so it really is official :D

Best Cajun food outside of Acadiana (that's southern Louisiana for those not familiar with the term) that I've ever had is at From The Bayou in Tacoma, Washington, just down the road from Pacific Lutheran University. Vol au ent!
Best Martini is in Seattle. The Isaac Newton Martini at Cutter's Bayhouse near Pike Place Market (GOD how I miss my home!).

So then it's like they took heaven, and put it on crust, put some cheese on it, and served it to me for mere American dollars??? I like the sound of this...

Besides ordering my plane tickets to Boston for some of this magical pizza, I have had time to notice the best beer is Bud Light, made right here in St. Louis, MO at Anheuser Busch.

How could I forget pizza?!? I'm a traitor to my college roots -- allow me to atone. I went to college in Ellensburg, WA. That's about 2 hours over the Cascades east of Seattle. On the way there, in a tiny town called Roslyn (where "Northern Exposure" was filmed), is a place called Village Pizza. The menu includes toppings like cashews and artichoke hearts and a few different sauces. One of the best toppings is fresh garlic, and they ask "light, medium or heavy" when you specify garlic. The crust is so good that there's no dessert on the menu. Instead, they have little plastic bears filled with locally-produced wildflower honey which you squeeze on to the remaining end crusts. YUM!
Accompanying this ambrosial feast is a locally brewed beer called Roslyn Dark. Heavenly.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I did have pizza in Boston, and I agree, it's indescribably good, as were the pies in NYC. I'm looking forward to getting to Philly to try a real cheesesteak. Anyone know who's got the best? I know the battle is between provolone and cheeze whiz (a no brainer to me, I prefer actual cheese).
What about barbeque? I've had it in Nashville (Jack's, rub-based and closet-smoked) and Austin (my ex-fiancee's dad made a kick-ass brisket, sauce-based and slow-grilled in foil over a fire), but I haven't been to Kansas City.
DAMN, I'm hungry!

The best fish and chips in the world are available at Leo Burdock's chippers in Dublin, most notably the original branch, opposite Christ Church Cathedral.

Not I! I work off as much of the stuff I eat as time allows. It's those folks gluttoning out and staying planted on their couches that are more akin to sin. That is, if you've a need for sin.
Has anyone been to the world famous STUBBS? Its a barbeque place where bands always play at, they are famous for the music, and for Stubbs Moppin Sauce, its a very yummy BBQ sauce...

I'm looking forward to getting to Philly to try a real cheesesteak. Anyone know who's got the best? I know the battle is between provolone and cheeze whiz (a no brainer to me, I prefer actual cheese).
For a "real" Philly cheasesteak, pick a random street vendor in south philly, believe it or not. That is, providing you don't really care what goes into it. But that will get you a classic genuine philly cheesesteak. If you do care about the ingredients and want a choice (about anything) you could go for Geno's Steaks (9th & Passyunk), or Leo's in Folcroft (not downtown, and I've never been there, but everyone says it's great.)
Another unique philly thing is hogies. You can't really get a hogie anywhere else. Subway nothin' - those ain't hogies. Hogies should be overflowing, sloppy, messy, huge things. If you ever do make it to philly, be sure to find a real hogie, while you're at it.
I found the best German food I've tasted to date at Ol' Heidelburg in Huntsville, Alabama. Jaeger Schnitzel + Spaetzle + Kuechen = win!
(Ich soll zum Deutschland reisen...)
The best Mexican food I've tasted to date can be found at any Chaco's in San Antonio, Texas. Not only is it inexpensive, but it's delicious as well! :p
