I fucking LOVE Family Guy. I don't know too many people that don't.

Here's where I'll apparently deviate, though....I'm not fond of American Dad. I thought I'd love the show at first, but it doesn't quite have the timing of Family Guy, and come on.....there's only so many times you can make fun of a particular political party before it gets really really old.

The Karl Rove jokes, however.....they never get old.

I have to say, this poll may be a little biased, as people that don't know what "Family Guy" is most likely wont bother clicking on the poll. Just a thought... Genius show though, definily one of those programs that even if you are watching someting pretty good already, and that show goes to commercial, you switch over to Family Guy, but never switch back.

Do I ever! Best American cartoon ever to grace the TV, and inferior only to our quirky British humour (I'm thinking Fawlty Towers, Spaced and Red Dwarf to greater or lesser extents).

The humor is juvenile, the evil talking baby who no one treats as anything but a 6 month old is outright ludicrous, and the apathetic talking dog is boring instead of ironically sarcastic as intended. When my husband turns it on I go into another room with my headphones and play on my comp or read a book or just listen to the music. I think the show is awful, and I'll never understand why it has lasted so long.

They never stole from the Simpsons. They did make a few jokes that involved the Simpsons like when Stewie ran Homer over.

I agree... I loved the old ones, but it just feels like the new ones are just trying too hard, or not trying at all... I'm not sure which. It's so very sad. I'll laugh every now and then, but its just not the same...

I have to admit, one of the stupidest things was when FOX canceled Family Guy, then Cartoon Network brought it back. for that little while, i truly forgot how good Family Guy is. Then FOX brought it back, and TBS has it, so i get a pretty good fix of it, along with seasons 1+2 on dvd.

Family Guy is good 95% of the time. Frankly I can't WAIT for the commentary of "Patriot Games"...that's the funniest episode EVER. The one where Loretta cheats on Cleveland isn't so great, and Petarded is only good for the first ten minutes, but the rest of it's pretty good.

Family Guy = Futurama, and both > American Dad, which is still pretty good. The Simpsons needs to either get some good ideas or get the hell out. It used to be good, but now, Family Guy's better.
