Well, what type of marriage do you want? Love? Arranged? Court? Or do you want to stay single for life?

This poll can go for all those who are married too. You can choose if you would rather have arranged marriage, or love marriage (DON'T pick the marriage you already had, but the type of marriage you wanted, even if you are happy with the type of marriage you had).

I personally like Arranged Marriage, as it is true parents (in general) think best for their Children.

I think Love Marriage runs the risk that Love can be fleeting...

How about "We've lived together, still want to live together, and don't feel the need to bang other people without permission from the spouse" Marriage?

Less arranged marriages end in divorce, because people don't go into it w/extraordianrily high expectaions

I think people have the right to choose. I dont believe in arranged marriages.

I'm of "Asian descent" and I think my parents want to arrange a marriage for me with one of their friends' sons. A bit disturbing. Maybe they're not completely serious, but I wouldn't put it beneath them.

I am going to pick "love" marriage, because that's what I have, my mom hates my husband, my dad is dead but he didn't like him much either. (mostly because my husband is very outspoken.)

anyway, I wouldn't have trusted them to pick a husband for me (they picked eachother after all and look how crappy that turned out)

I would probably not arrange a marriage for my kids, I will just indoctrinate them now, so that when it comes time to choose they will make the same choice I would have anyway.

all of these or a combo, or none......depends on your motivations.

My parents fell in love at first sight and lived happily ever after, so if I were to marry at all (and I am not sure I see the need to) it would have to be for love.

im a very modest person, i cant imagine having to get naked and have sex with someone i barely know, have no reason to trust and dont love. *shudder*

Ugh, I am too but my thankfully my parents don't believe in that... They do, however believe in being complete dickheads about my choice of partner. Hurrah. :(

Maybe it's because in arranged marriage societies, divorce tends not to be as permitted? Arranged marriage is awful.

My boyfriend is Japanese, and I'm an American. His mom and dad met and fell in love and that was 30 something years ago. I vote for a love marriage.
I agree with whoever said that devorice doesn't happen that much in arranged marriages..they normally aren't allowed.

It will most likely end in divorce, and then the "devil with tits" is going to get 90% of what you have worked for while you were married and you'll end up in a small flat(or apartment) with nothing much to show for the time you were married.
