In a kind of violent way.

MOUNT NEBO, Md., Oct. 24 -- There's a new hunting legend in the mountains of Western Maryland.

Born to the woods, she's 4 1/2 feet tall and 8 years old, with a shock of light brown hair and a steady trigger finger that put two bullets into a black bear's chest cavity Monday, according to her and her father and granduncle, who were hunting with her. State officials backed the claim by Sierra Stiles and credited her with the first kill of Maryland's second bear season since hunting the animals resumed after a half-century ban.

Yeah, yeah, I know that the animal rights activists are going to have a fit, but come on, an 8 year old girl bags a 211 black bear on her own. How sweet is that? Bully for her. Also, if you scroll down, shes getting it stuffed. Now THATS a teddy bear ;)

You hunt bears? Aren't they endangered or something?

EDIT: "Ended half-century ban"...hmm, I guess they aren't.

Bear is the only animal that contains all the essentials to sustain human life indefinately. It tastes great too.

I don't think very highly of killing animals just for the hell of it, but I certainly don't side with animal rights terrorists either. To be honest, as long as people don't hunt so much that the animal population drops, I'm not really bothered by it.

*In walks your local animal rights activist*
So how's everything going today, *Sees this article* ......... you..... have.... got..... to... be.... kidding.....
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??!!
Killing innocent, wild animals for basically any reason, especially for sport, is terrible and a sad reflection on our society. And we are brainwashing children to think it is not only ok to kill animals but also something to be rewarded for. It just makes me sick to see this kind of stuff.

That right there is why the US around election day is a fragmented mass of people who all hate each other. When you saw that you thought "Wow, we should really protect the right to bear arms." and I thought "BAN GUNS NOW!"

Noooo ... I was joking.

Anyone who has been here long enough knows I'm a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment and would defend it with my life as readily as I would the 1st, 9th, or 14th.

I may be a Leftist peace-nik, but what that means is that I choose not to own firearms and I go to the grocer's for my meat. I would never even imagine stopping someone else from purchasing a firearm to hunt for their meat.

Right to Arm Bears.

Get it?

Ha Ha?

Oh forget it. :p

rofl I didn't read it correctly.
I read it as you really think. Not as how you wrote it. Silly me. But that right there proves my point anyway.
Oh and if you care to read the 2nd Amendment indepthly you will see it clearly does not guaruntee anyone outside of a militia the right to bear arms.

But what if somewhat starts in with Bearing Right Arms? Then the puns may well become to much, even for such hardened NSers as ourselves.

Ruh-roh ... this is going to become a whole new thread.

Nah ... I won't argue it with ya. It's been done 1,000 times here and I'm sure it will be done 1,000 times more.

Please, though, start a new thread. It's a good topic for discussion. The Bible and the 2nd Amendment will always be the most hotly debated topics in the history of mankind. I'm always up for another round. :D

Unfortunately, I am for control. I think the 2nd Amendment means single shot muskets and a cannon for every township. So the "gun-nuts" don't like me much either. ;)

Indeed, no need to hijack this. I was just trying to point out the fact that in America two people can look at the same thing and have completely opposite reactions, which is why we all dislike each other. But in my complete retardedness I didn't read carefully and got pun3d ;)

So long as someone doesn't start in with that Arming Right Bears drivel, the conversation should remain civil.

Well, I'm sure that the founding fathers didn't intend for just any Bears to be Armed. The responsibility to Arm the Right Bears is implied in the Right to Arm Bears.
