How can I determine which version of Microsoft .NET Framework I'm running?
Oh yeah, and seeing as I'm asking a noob tech question, here is the obligatory infantile row of gun smilies:

Being that you're an ex-mod, I would think you know better.:rolleyes: :p
How can I determine which version of Microsoft .NET Framework I'm running?Can't you ask your server? Seems like something it should return when queried about.

Ah, but a limited amount of silliness is fair in the interests of satire. :p

I have no 'Mscorlib.dll' file, and the path to the folder is invalid.

Start--->Control Panel--->Add or Remove Programs
Scoll down until you see:
"Microsoft .NET Framework X"
X will be your version number.

Erm. A lot of stuff uses it, directly or indirectly. Device drivers for example, most ATI stuff. I thought it would be a standard part of Windows.
Downloading the iPod agent (Also called podPlus) automatically downloads the latest .Net framework on windows.

It's not there at all. I guess it doesn't come with 64-bit Windows or something.

\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\
The folders within this directory are all the versions you have installed, the latest possible being \v2.50727\

I have XP Home and I had to install the .NET Framework when I installed my ATI drivers. You should download it and at least try to install it anyways. If you have it, it will say "Hey, you already have it." If you do not have it, it will install it.
