Here is more info about the flick from www.bruce-campbell.com (http://www.bruce-campbell.com/)

They Call Me Bruce is being produced by Dark Horse Indie, the new joint venture production company created by Dark Horse Entertainment and Image Entertainment. Popular actor and Oregon resident Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Army of Darkness) is set to star and direct. He will also produce the project with another Oregon resident, Dark Horse president Mike Richardson.

They Call Me Bruce is the tale of a small town set upon by demons after a group of teen-agers unwittingly unleash an ancient curse. Campbell, playing himself, is kidnapped off the set of a B horror movie and, despite his protestations that he's just an actor, is forced to play the role of his heroic movie character in order to save the town. Mark Verheiden (The Mask, TimeCop) is writing the screenplay. Production is scheduled for early 2006 in southern Oregon.

I just realised, the plot outline for this movie sounds an aweful lot like the plan for a sequel to Bubb Ho-Tep I read about a while ago.

Does anyone know if they are related?

I'm a big Bruce Campbell fan. His biography, If Chins Could Kill, is a great, funny book. His movies are cult classics, and his old TV show "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr." was fantastic.

Yep. I'll go see it. But there's already a movie called "They call me Bruce". It's got nothing to do with the plot of this new movie either.

I own if chins could kill, and I have to say it is one of the greatest stories ever told. And Brisco County Jr just came out on DVD I hear (gonna be making a trip to the store).

I thought there was--it was a Bruce lee spoof from the 70s or 80s right? And it had a sequel, called "They Still Call Me Bruce."

Yeah. The first one was about an Asian guy who pretended to know martial arts and was tricked into delivering drugs for organized crime. Laughs ensued.

Role: Producer
Release Date: 2006

"The remake 'concept' has been getting a lot of feedback lately, and not all of it good. Folks can relax in knowing that we would never knowingly screw up the series. A remake will get made fairly soon, but there is no start date, no director and no script. Other than that, we're ready to jump into production!" -BC

It is very good, however, it is not like Evil Dead III, the whole film is more subdued but still funny, just not in the same way.

(And the music is brilliant too)
