That's pretty terrible with the movie coming out so soon.
What did Curious George ever do to them?

Earn a lot of money, it would seem.

Please, if you write a memorial, punctuate it properly.

The guy on the right looks like Curious George touched him when he was little. The guy on the left looks like a criminal straight out of Battlestar Galactica.
Bubba should force them to call his monkey Curious George as they're ass plunged.
Indeed:mad:
Old guy.
Home Invasion by two big bastards.
Old guy stabbed to death. :(
Nope. Nobody needs a firearm to defend themselves. :headbang:
(admitedly, since this was Florida Mr. Shalleck did have the option and (sadly) chose not to exercise it, but at least he was not denied the option by the Anti-Gunners)

You make the great assumption he would have had time to retrieve a weapon and use it.
There have been other home invasions where the people had a gun and they didn't get a chance to get it.

I hope they hang the sons of bitches.
It's sad. I always liked curious George. Normally the deaths of strangers don't effect me one way or the other, but I find this fairly upsetting for some reason.
You make the great assumption he would have had time to retrieve a weapon and use it.
There have been other home invasions where the people had a gun and they didn't get a chance to get it.And there have been equally many, or more, where the armed homeowner has stopped the invasion.
No, they had the chance, they just didn't or were unble to ecercise the option. The only unlocked gun in my home is the one I am carrying - which gives me time to either conclude the scenerio or retrieve a better/bigger gun.
No, I make the assumption that anyone who choses to keep a firearm for self defense have ready access to it - i.e. carries it.
But my point is still one of choice, and the inevitible outcome of NOT having that choice. That some people want to take that b]choice[/b] away.

Even if he were armed, some people don't think very clearly during a home invasion. That often prevents people from defending themselves.

Since the two punks murdered the man who wrote Curious George for children, would it be considered child molestation on a technicality? Would guarantee Dumb and Dumber die a slow, horrible and painful death in prison.

Hmmmm I am picturing a clockwork orange setup with endless runs of barney and what is the other one beebop?

And that justifies taking the choice away from everyone in what way?

Of course not. It just explains that weapons aren't going to fix EVERYTHING, even though they may help significantly.
C'mon, a good man dies and you try to politicize his death?

Oh wait, this is NS, never mind

Yes, we do this with everything.
I still wanan know what possessed someone to kill the guy. I mean, jeez, he wasn't bugging anyone. Why not go kill Al Sharpton or someone else annoying?
I hope whoever murdered him gets castrated without anesthesia, bludgeoned to within an inch of their life, and dipped naked in hot tar.

Bet the movie studio is beside itself. You can't buy publicity like this!
Hmmmm....conspiracy theory?
Maybe the movie studio was involved...

At least I didn't do it at his funeral, in front of the cameras, just to try to shore up a declining political constituency.

I guess the movie for Curious George will now be a tribute to the author.

Like wraping yourself in the flag and talking about the sacrifices of heros?

Considering that is the traditional military-funeral bit, it doesn't equate at all to (effectively) "Republicans Hate Black Folk and Ms King knew it..."
