Anyone else like this hit 80s show? For those who don't know, MacGyver works for the Phoenix Foundation and usually ends up getting others or himself out of trouble. His creative mind will set up any number of ideas. He could get you out of prison with a piece of cheese (in effect). Best of all, he never uses guns to kill people(occaisionally as part of a diversion). I watched it a few years ago on TV Land and loved it. I now have seasons 1-4 on DVD and have seen all of those episodes except for 4 of them in season 2 (my sis lost the disc). My favorites are the ones that involve Communist nations. ;) Season 5 will be out 14 March. So anyone else?
PS: The people who played Pete and Harry(grandpa) have died. :(
Yes...I love it! I have a seasons 1-4 too...i was so happy when they came out last year.

MacGyver!!! Greatest show ever, and the only man to sport a successful mullet other than Solid Snake
If you dont like McGyver, you're probably broken....but dont worry, McGyver can fix you, just hand him a roll of duct tape, half a carrot, a stick of gum and an old matchbox and he'll have ya' better than new in no time...;)

I'm so impatient. I can't wait for season 5. Except for the music, which isn't as bad as most 80s music, it's wonderful. They should air it on a major channel like ABC again.

That was a great show. Coupled with other great '80s shows (Knight Rider, Air Wolf, A-Team, Baywatch [started in '89, still counts], Saved by the Bell [also '89]). The guy who played MacGuyver does a bang up job as O'Neill on Stargate SG-1.
They still air it on TV Channel (or whatever that oldies TV channel is called). Love that show.

"MacGuyver"... pheh! You understand he'd build a bazooka out of your rectum for insulting him (MacGyver) like that, right?... if he was a violent person, that is..
...spelling the name wrong is just... wrong...

MacGyver may be a profit for Chuckianity and the Green Hornet is nothing in Chuckianity, the only true religion.

All things which Chuck Norris created. MacGyver would not last to Chuck's powerful roundhouse kick, which would negate the nuclear device MacGyver built from those items.

The most holy Mac would try to speak himself out of that situation, for sure... or, indeed, make an atom bomb out of shoelace and 20 grams of turd and a pencil... and some spit... (can't remember...)

I mean no offense, but as cool as Kit was, David Hasslehoff (SP?) just wasn't as spiffy as Richard Dean Anderson. I mean, Hasslehoff had that faux-fro thing going on for most of the time, whereas Mac made the almost-mullet look good. o_o

Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver) is sexier, smarter and better looking than Chuck Norris. And the older he gets the better he gets. Yum.
MacGyver's ingenuity is ingratiatingly annoying.

You probably bought the DVDs like a sucker. I made my own out of three rubber bands, a paperclip, some used motor oil and a cigarette lighter.

MacGyver wasn't all that good of a show. Airwolf, A-Team, and even Knight Rider were better. Man, 80's TV was weird.

He didn't start out working or the Phoenix Foundation, and the show was better before he did, in my opinion. It really worked better with a mysterious anonymous employer.
PS: The people who played Pete and Harry(grandpa) have died. :(
Yeah. :( 'Harry' was John Anderson (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0026930/), Richard's real grandpa. And his dad, Richard Anderson, was 'Oscar' who employed Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man.
