i am currently feeling very umm...displaced here. I don't know how old some of the people on this site are and i would feel a lot more comfortable if some people would give me the general age groups here. Mainly, how young some of the people are. I am only 12 so...:headbang: yeah.

There are plenty of people here about your age, or just a few years older...and then there are the prehistoric types like Eutrusca, who is as old as your great, great, great grandfather:) (hi, Eut!) Most of us seem to be between 18-33. That's just my impression anyway.

26 here. It doesn't really matter so long as you conduct yourself maturely. I've run into kids 12-16 on the internet that I could have easily mistaken for my own age and I have run into guys older then me that act like ten year olds. I try not to assume or judge based on it but considering the average kid these days... my advice is to NOT act your age. Good luck kid.

I'm 24. But there are many people of your age or just a few years above in nationstates, there was a thread about it not so long along.

Anyway, don't feel displaced, you're welcomed even if you are younger :) And don't feel bad, I used to be the youngest in channels, ... for long, it's usually more fun than pain, people tend to be nicer when you are young ;)

You may feel lost in some political discussions, but many "adults" would be lost too, and it's never bad to learn (and to ask questions if you don't understand). So, welcome here !

Used to be true for me too, I was two years early in school, so most of my friends were two years older than me (and even 3 some times).

Now, I've several good friends younger than me, people I know first from hurdfr (french users/developers of the GNU Hurd), since most people in hurdfr are students.

Yeah, I agree. Well, it matters at some ages, a 8-years old and a 12-years old will very likely be different, but the difference fades out quickly afterwards, and it varies a lot from people to people. I've some 18-years old friends who are more "mature" than some 25-years old that I know.

31. Sometimes I feel a part of the older group, then Eut creaks in and everything returns to normal. You'll find that we all feel too old or too young or too new or too uneducated for a discussion once in a while. As long as you make an effort to have fun and follow the rules, mostly, then welcome.
