Youre opinion on these cartoons..personally they dont offend me since im a christian but i dont by any means think what the cartoon says is 100% correct..muhammad was probably a good man, he wouldnt approve of suicide bombings and such, or that Jihad crap either

He did lead an army to take Mecca, but overall I think he had a good message but I've come to doubt he prophetness.

Yeah, i think that it was a bad idead to publish them.
I think Muhammed did endorse Jihad, but not in the way its used today, but rather in a defensive holy war sort of thing

Correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure Mohommad endorsed the jihad, at least it's advocated in the Qur'an. But it's still no different from Jesus being a complete pacifist and preaching brotherly love, and then having millions of people dying in His name.

I think they're a tad tasteless, but the Muslim reaction is ridiculously overdramatic and childish.

EDIT: By "Muslim reaction", I mean the reactions of the Muslims that are making threats, burning embassies, etc.

Aside from the fact that there are 6 trillion threads about this already.

Yes, the Arab countries are overreacting, but if it showed Jesus's cross as a bomb instead of Mohammed's turban see how many newspapers would reprint it. Also see what happens at the Danish consulates in the South

I don't think Jesus told people to do those things for him. Stupid humans using religion to advance their own ambitions.

Agreed, people who died "for Jesus" were just killed for their own beliefs not neccesarily for just Jesus

it's like saying that the wacko christians who blow-up abortion clinics represent jesus. no, they don't. and these wacko muslims don't represent mohammed. mohammed and jesus were enlightened souls. these people are clearly not. it's about as clear as day.

I find the entire affair to be riotously amusing. Especially when you dig deeper into the issue, and find out exactly who was responsible for disseminating these five-month-old cartoons around the Muslim world, and in effect, causing a good deal of the outrage.
