Come on people. They're just novelty items these days. Rarely anyone wears them anymore. They were cheap footwear for poor laborers and farmers way back, but we're a wellfare state now.

I would absolutely love to be Dutch. They seem to be the most perfect people in the world. I'm a native English speaker, but I've never met a Dutchman who doesn't speak English better than I do! They also seem to have better French than the French, better German than the Germans, and some of the nicest cheese and meatballs ever made. Two of my professors at uni are Dutch and they quite simply rock. Yay the Dutch!
