In the USA, cider is called "hard cider". I've heard that Strongbow is available in the USA, but, well, Strongbow isn't a very good cider. What else do they have?

Hornsby's and Woodpecker seem to be the only two available in most liquor stores around my way. EDIT Forgot Woodchuck brand.

Hard cider rocks!

Here, you can buy what they call "cider" in grocery stores, which is basically unfiltered and unsweetened apple juice. "Hard" in this case means there's alcohol in it.

Strongbow is disgusting.

I tend to drink real beer though...

Are you calling Strongbow "unreal beer"? Cider isn't a type of beer...

mix 'hard' cider and some good lager/decent beer together and add some blackcurrant cordial/squash and you have yourself a delicious snakebite and black :)

Woodpecker is the only import I think of seeing at our local brewpubs off the top of my head. We get more local stuff, living in apple country.

Woodpecker is a sweet cider, isn't it? I drink dry cider, but I've never tried sweet cider (advised against it, too).
