Balto 2- A classic movie gets raped by a questionable sequal.
Home Alone 3-the first two are true classics. The third one replaces the greatness with over-the-top childish comedy.
Bambi 2-Maybe there's a reason why Bambi went so long without a sequal.
Lion King 2-OMFG. WTF were they thinking?
Lion King 1 1/2-Holy crap, batman. The sequalizer has ruined a classic movie again with a crappy sequal.

The Metroid movie? Not while I'm around.

Aren't there occasions - just occasions - when the produce of the Hollywood studios makes you feel a sense of kinship with the nihilistic neo-islamicists represented by Bin Laden? I admit, the sight of something like "Jackass 2" isn't quite going to get me running out to get my suicide bomb back-pack on, but i do feel a certain revulsion at the artistic, creative and - dare i say it - moral decadence of "art" which shows someone crapping in their hand and showing it to their friends...

and this from someone who would defend Serrano's "Piss-christ" and John Waters movies as well...

Maybe we could dare Johnny Knoxville and friends to travel to Iran and shit in their hands outside a Tehran mosque and show it passers-by while screaming anti-Islamic rhetoric and proclaiming the glory of Christ? I'd go see the new Jackass movie if they did that.

Possible really bad sequels:

Older School -- made like Dumb and Dumberer was, without the original actors.
Alien: Reconstitution -- 'cause what else is left after you've already been Resurrected?
Still Can't Hardly Wait -- Jennifer Love Huge-Tits returns to play the dumped socialite, but get this, now she's in college!
Friday the Thirteenth Part Twelve: Jason Takes a Shit
Titanic 2: Zombies From the Deep -- The decomposing, waterlogged corpse of Jack Dawson finally makes it to New York and hilarity ensues as he has a hard time dealing with life in the 21st century.
Moulin Rouge 2 -- Baz Luhrmann uses so many rapid cuts and jarring cinematographic edits that even the re-done songs from earlier decades can't save the film. Entire theaters are hospitalized with seizures and severe reactions to pretentiousness gussied up as art. Even David Lynch is quoted as saying "I just don't get it."

On the IMDB boards they have a thread about possible sequels to that movie. Last time I checked, they were out to somewhere in the 200s, with an assload of prequels and remakes scattered around.
The most memorable one was Snakes on Twain; two hours of Mark Twain walking through the woods and cursing because snakes keep getting dropped on him. Until the very end, where it is revealed that he was dead the whole time.

[URL="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435665/"]

My guess is that they're doing a Blair Witch III cause they figure the name alone will be enough to drag in a few idiots. A few years ago I read that when Arnold was at the height of popularity it was estimated his name alone was worth 70 mill to a movie, regardless of the quality. Hence 'Jingle Bells' and 'Last action Hero'.

The fast and furious movie shows, once again, that Hollywood is devoid of idead and isn't above totally ripping off an excellent Asian movie. Last year one of the big hits over here was a Japanese movie called 'Initial D', based on a comic of the same name, all about drift racing. I saw parts of it, and it has some pretty damn good racing scenes it.

I didn't know that. IMDB didn't tell me anything (I think I should have logged on). I was wondering who would play Magnum. Somehow it just doesn't fit, he's too old and I don't think he'l look good in a moustache (unless Magnum doesnt have one ). I am going to have to reconsider my position on this movie. :headbang:

UPDATE: Acording to this (http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hp&cf=prev&id=1808514111) page, "George is not going to do the movie. He's never been asked to do it. He knows nothing about it."

I couldn't get to that part of IMDB, but another site claims that Clooney is definitely not going to be in the film. It also says that the part of TC will be played by LL Kool J.

You're kidding right?

of course :p

Might not be that bad, because Scary Movie 3 beat out the originals so theres a chance this one may follow suit. Also theres a chance a second Van Wilder might work...

I was a fan of scary movie, not so much the sequels though. Never really saw van wilder but then again i never heard anything good about it.

Just hope for no more Resident Evil movies. Just awful.

Sadly another is coming and it will probably be as awful as the last.

There should be a composite list of games turned into Hollywood that under no circumstances are to become movies.

I'm going to see that Dungeon Siege movie. Burt Reynolds is the king. That's all I care about, since I enjoyed the game and have no film expectations for it.

I may see it on DVD because I enjoyed the game, but not to the point where I felt that I would be angered if the movie didnt live up to expectations.

Yet another Duece Bigalow movie would really suck.
(like the first couple didn't already).

If all these sequels come out, I guess it'd only be a matter of time before they decide to do LOTR IV.
Maybe they'll have Sam waking up and finding Frodo taking a shower.

Oh, now don't be silly. Think about what attracted the largest audiences to the LotR movies.

That's right, we're looking at The Lord of the Rings: Prince of Mirkwood, starring Orlando 'Legolas' Bloom, Viggo 'Aragorn' Mortenson, and Mary 'Token Love Interest' Sue (who all the fangirls will hate, because she gets to marry Legolas. So it goes).

-- on a less 'I will kill you if you try' note, the rights to The Hobbit are a mess right now. So when and whether we'll see that (doubtless with some token OrLegolas Bloom in the Mirkwood section, just for the ratings?) is debatable, which means no one has a clue what's going on, and we're probably going to blame Christopher Tolkien.

It's nothing like the Southern Irish one! how bizarre. The Southern Irish one is quite soft and lilting, closer to Welsh than the northern irish one, which is quite harsh on the ear and sounds like what a celt would be like if transplanted in Durham.

Yeah but Disney hasn't made a "classic" movie since about 1970, so i don't see what the fuss is about them remaking the Lion King.
