Hey, I like Denmark, and I like the pastry that is named for them. And I'm not upset over a few cartoons - hey, where's your sense of humor?

Hey, I *love* that pastry! :D
It's name is totally unrelated to Denmark over here though... didn't know it comes from Denmark.

Anyway, Denmark is a pretty cool place. They have a lot of very tasty food, and their girls are very tasty too! :D

Yes, it's another case of foreigners naming food after places they like.

I bought a sandwich with Havarti cheese on it as a statement of support for Denmark.

My first experience with anything Denmark was meeting three guys from that country. I've been fascinated with that country ever since. I wholeheartedly support them in this fracas.

There's a town near here called Denmark. It's full of stoners and hippies and apparently the few Muslims there are too stoned out of their minds to do much protesting. I also heard one or two of them got really stoned one day (nothing new there) and laughed at the cartoons.

We call them Denmarkians, though, rather than Danes.

Did you know these aren't called "great Danes" by Danes?

Yes, Legoland is great, and Danish pastries are the best, but don't forget Ecco shoes - the only shoes I wear now. What a superb country, to give us all these. But did you ever have a Danish pastry called Napoleon Hats? They're great!

You're looking at pastry with ground almonds and marzipan, and dipped in chocolate. Amazing!

These things would turn me into a 200 lb monstrosity if I let them. A plateful of Napoleon's hats and a cafetiere of strong coffee --- is there anything better in life?

PS --- and how's this for a link (http://www.larsensbakery.com/store/comersus_dynamicIndex.asp)?

I should have been clearer. I was referring to the way they don't use a Danish name ("stor dansker", I expect, but since they don't use it, who cares? :D ).

They use the French version of it, "Grand Danois".

Odd, eh?

This is getting weird. I'm actually in agreement with Deep Kimchi on stuff now. I mean, I never thought I'd actually see that ever happen.

We call them Grand Danois ( got something to do with the french influence to the royal court )
