Super 14 Rugby Pick Game

A Harlesburg and Peisandros Production.
It is that time of year folks time for the most exciting(cough NPC) Rugby Competition in the world to start up again....

THE REBEL SPORT SUPER 14!

First Week Draw
10 Feb, 19:35 Blues v Hurricanes Eden Park, Auckland
10 Feb, 19:05 Force v Brumbies Subiaco Oval, Perth
10 Feb, 19:10 Cheetahs v Bulls Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein
11 Feb, 19:35 Crusaders v Highlanders Jade Stadium, Christchurch
11 Feb, 19:40 Reds v Waratahs Ballymore, Brisbane
11 Feb, 19:10 Sharks v Chiefs ABSA Stadium, Durban
11 Feb, 17:00 Cats v Stormers Ellis Park, Johannesburg

Basically this is how it will work.

Team A is playing Team B.

Know you have a choice in who will win.
I would say the Team A

But not only that you have to pick the margin range.
The options are 1-12,13-20,21+ and of course the much loved draw.
I would pick 1-12

If the final score is 17-16 to Team A then i would get 3 points
if i had said 13-20 i would get 2 points and if i had said 21+ i would get 1 point.

Picking the Draw correctly gets you 5 points as it is seldom seen.

Of course if you were to pick Team B who lost then you would get 0 points for that match.

So simply pick the winner and how much they will win by, be it 1-12 13-20 or 21+

Also pick the top try scorer, top point scorer and player with the most tackles for a bonus point for each successfully picked.

I don't know enough about the form to make intelligent picks, but I would like to point out that the sharks were once called the 'bananas'. Damn shame they changed it.

The Banana Boys actually. Teehee.
They're being billed as the best of the SA teams this year, after the disaster that was last year. Interesting how their form goes, top of table one year, bottom the next.

Uh-huh, of course, that was back before there was super - 8s Natal Shark's Dirty Secret (http://business.iafrica.com/futurebusiness/80942.htm)

I used to follow super 8, but then I changed cable companies, and I now no longer get it. (fourteen now I see). I liked the brumbies.

When I used to watch the 8 they were pretty good. Made the final against the brumbies and lost, if I remember. My girlfriend at the time was a sharks fan. (Hence my liking of the brumbies).

They wern't that bad last year.....
Sure they didn't win many but it was how they lost.
They had Gregor Townsend and Butch James alternating at 10 and/or one playing at 10 and at 12, one trying to kick all the time and the other never getting the ball or the other always running and not using a tactical kick.
Apart from that they were alright.....
Some close games and it wasn't Kevin Putt's fault.

I was away for the first week and can't really be bothered doing picks. I've stoped for the soccer one too, I'm not on enough to remember anymore.

sorry.
