What's your favourite horror movie? The best I've seen are the Changeling and The Eye, both of which freaked the hell out of me.

Well for scare factor id say the Grudge. Besides that its been a loooonnngggg time since i got scared from any kind of movie. Guess it was all those years of desenseatizing . Any way I heard that the hell raiser movies were scary so i tried those.

Nah not scarry at all. They were disturbing but not scary. I dont know what it is but peeps jumping out and going boo or loud sounds dont do it for me which seams to be the majority of scary movies today :(

I love Evil Dead 2, but it's more of a comedy than anything.
When I was young I loved the Amityville Horror (all of them) because they were so cliche and badly made, the remake of Amityville actually made me jump once and scream twice, so that was nice, it's been maybe 20 years since I was even remotely scared of a movie (which is a long time since I am only 24)

Wasn't that scary but I liked 28 Days Later. I'm a Danny Boyle fan.

Lol @ Evil Dead. That was a funny trilogy. I liked how in the first two there was much more blood from a wound then there should of been. Someone gets a paper cut and gallons would flow :p

The tree vine rape was um interesting to say the least. You could also see how the special effects improved from the first to the second. In the first one you could see the difference in lighting around the moon and in the second they got better at it :)

There was some discrepincies with story continuation but oh well ;)

I don't know. I was pretty scared by the fact that I was the only one who seemed to notice that the whole movie was based on the premise that we live in a universe so badly planned that you can get doomed to eternal hell for simply happening to be nearby when some idiot opens up a puzzlebox. The idea that people have no problem with that sort of spiritual cosmology is scarey as hell.

Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter is the best bad movie ever, but I wouldn't call it a horror film.

The best horror movies in my view are Army of Darkness (lighthearted) and Aliens (very, very darkhearted).

Youre right Jesus christ vampire hunter isnt a horror movie, but in blockbuster video, netflix or whatever it would be under horror/scifi. killer clowns from outer space is also listed under horror mostly.

the entire evil dead series is great 2 is the best, everyone forgets about 2

other great horror fests are lucio fulci's and dario argentos work. some of the best stuff comes from those 2

Someone else who has seen that film!

I like you already!

Whats not to love about a Kung-Fu weilding, metrosexual saviour, fighting the forces of evil, with his trusty sidekick, Santos, the Patron Saint of the Wrestling ring!

Army of Darkness is more of a ass-kicking movie.

The Blob, an early Steve McQueen film, is my alltime favorite horror movie. I still can't sit in a theatre without looking behind me to see if that Blob thing
might be there. ;)

My favorite horror movie?

Probably The Excorcist, if your talking about straight up horror.
However, I also very much like "In the mouth of madness"
Oh yah..I read Sutter Kane.

However, theres so many, many movies I love, that while having the illusion of horror films, are truly terrible films, and tickle my cheesebone.

"The Godmonster of Indian Flats", being my most recent addidtion.

Worst monster in a monster movie.....evar.

Hellraiser 2 was pretty disturbing and I'm going to rank it as near the top because of that, and because I have never once watched it fully awake and sober (so I've never had a chance to think about how stupid it must be).

However, I'm going to say that the original Friday the Thirteenth was the best because that last scene in the canoe scared the crap out of me.

Let's not forget that the forces of evil are lesbian vampires.

But yes, I thought that film was hysterical; my favorite scene was the fight with the atheists. In point of fact, I remember a friend of mine, a dedicated Communist, saying that if that were the Jesus he had seen in the Bible, he definately would have been a Christian.

Hmm

For comedy gore style:
Dead Alive
Evil Dead

For grossest:
The Beyond
The City of the Living Dead
(I know these aren't the goriest or truly grossest, but I can't bear to see the Guinea Pig series or August Undergrounds Mordum. Some things just cross the line for me).

FAVORITE overall:
The Dead Next Door
Dawn of the Dead

I heard Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter was a pretty bad Troma movie. I mean, BAD BAD, not the good bad troma is known for.
