He Is listening, like Big Brother, to your phone calls...Its enough to get me re-reading "1984" by Orwell...and one of the things that was instituted was the idea of "Continuous War" (kinda like the war on Terror, a war that can never be won, because as soon as some towelhead subhuman straps on a bomb and kills innocent people, the War is on again, and you know thats continual)...so people subjugated themselves to Big Brother who would take care of them (until they disappeared of course)...

BTW - It is a common misunderstanding that Clinton was impeached for getting a blow job. He wasn't. He was impeached for lying under oath to a congressional commitee. The now famous line, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

On another note, I really hope he is impeached because this administration is doing irreperable harm to my countrty and our world. I am of the opinion that they will go down as the most disasterous administration in history.

george bush may be a piece of shit president who stomps on the constitution on a daily basis but there are 2 excellent reasons not to impeach him (in addition to the ones mentioned already)

1) we cant afford to have the country tied up in impeachment hearings when stuff needs to get done. while clinton was being impeached, the country went to hell. we dont need that again

2) if bush is removed from office, dick cheney becomes president

In regards to impeaching bush... it's so damn trendy. Americans should just go ahead and split the country right now. Canada can take the northern half, and Mexico can have the southern half. And then the new Prime Minister of the Federation of Canmerica, Hilary Clinton, can have all the unimpeachable oral sex that she wants.

Here's something my History Teacher drilled into my class's heads. Impeachment is just bringing the formal charges against, it's not actually removing them from office.

So just because he's impeached doesn't mean he gets kicked out. Much like Bill Clinton. I'm pretty sure only one president's actually been kicked out after being impeached, but I'm not sure who... It's not Nixon, because he resigned.

No one has ever actually been removed from office. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached but not convicted. Nixon would have been removed, but he preempted that.

A president's alowed to lie all he wants. He's just not allowed to lie under oath. Bush wasn't, and as far as I know, never has been under oath. Clinton lied under oath to a congressional committe that probably should never have been formed, but, well, there you have it.

As for Bush not commiting an impeachable offense, that has yet to be seen. On the face if it he ignored the FISA act passed in 1978 because he found it inconvenient. In my humble opinion that means you get the law changed. You don't just decide to ignore it.
