Very interesting little website, especially the part about criticising your own beliefs as much as you criticise someone else's. What do you think?

My problem is not that I don't critically examine my ideals but that I examine them too closely. My system of ideals has changed so often and so much in response to my contemplations that I consider myself to be nothing more than a cynic.
This process has been approaching its apex since I started studying International Politics; gone are the days of my innocent idealism!
For now at least, the process has stabilised on a social liberal/economic pragmatist position...

Why is it that you have to label yourself? You don't need a fixed position. Just handle things on a case-by-case basis. But it's a good thing that you don't feel any shame in changing your mind. Many people just do politics "for fun" and don't really take it seriously beyond trying to change the facts to fit their point of view. It should be the other way around.
