I know it''s really twatty to start a thread just because you want a piece of information but this really is my last hope.

I need to know when the first appearance of Walter the Softy in the Beano was. Even if it's only the year. I've looked everywhere I can think of and it doesn't seem to say anywhere on t'internet at all.

Did I miss the part where it says when the first appearance of Walter the Softy actually was? I can't find it on there.

You could try emailing the chaps who produce the Beano - DC Thompson, if the mind recalls correctly, and asking them the question. They probably have a public relations department or somesuch that could help.

I could, but because I'm such a slacker I've left everything til the last minute, and I have to have the magazine in the printers by Monday.
