Your Views of Various Asian Powers

This poll is obviously not very specific, and intended as a test of visceral emotional response to a gestalt of influences that various Asian powers have on the world at large. The powers being Japan, China, India, Pakistan and Russia (technically European, but a major player across Asia nonetheless).

Since the poll isn't meant to gauge any kind of specifics, I request that you vote the way you instinctively feel rather than with any kind of detailed analysis of economic, political, social and other issues. Oh yes... you can choose more than one answer...so ideally you'd choose one answer for each nation mentioned.

There aren't enough options available on a Jolt poll to allow for a "don't know/don't care" on each of these powers. So, if you're really ambivalent on any of these countries please leave both choices for that country blank (or check both of them, if you prefer).

Thanks.

I think it has shifted to India, but not China. China's growth is simply unsustainable, and they have gigantic problems demographically, economically, and technologically. They are undoubtedly headed for a severe recession, if not a Japanese style deflationary bust due to the gigantic overcapacity, dependance on foreign investment, and the lack of domestic talent and innovation. India would be flying past China if it revitalized its infrastructure and removed archaic restrictions on its economy.

Japan has a mostly positive impact on the world today along with India. However, I feel that China's flashfire, irresponsible economic growth is going to be a detriment to the world both economically and environmentally unless they dramatically shift policy. Not to mention the horrendous civil rights record.
