Oh come on, when has hospital food ever been edible? In fact, I'm not sure it's food at all really...

Oh, and even though the antibiotics are crappy, at least the happy pills are good! Man, don't know what they gave me when I went it, but they could have done the surgery while I was awake and I would have laughed it off...geez, I love happy pills...

ah when i was on nil-by-mouth for 3 days, back in may, even hospital food tasted great! fucking cardboard with a dusting of sugar would have tasted great, but hospital food was slightly better ;) :p

and yeah... hospitals are fun for the morphine...

S'pose. Aw geez, three days sucks, could be worse though, my mother was 5 days nil by mouth and on a drip post surgery 10 years ago. Don't know WHAT they did, but it wasn't as if the surgery she has was particularly huge or anything, but hey...

Yeah, I asked for non narcotic medication because I have bad reactions, so it wasn't morphine, but it was good :D
But, goddamnit, I was out of surgery an hour when they gave me by bag of clothes and asked me if I needed help getting dressed as they were cleaning the blood pouring down my side. But happy pills made all the scared go away.... :rolleyes:

I don't know any virgins, but I'll see what I can do. ;)

Tell him I'll be praying for him and that I wish him a very speedy recovery. Thank goodness pneumonia isn't the dread disease it use to be. Survivors were the minority.

Good thing he took our advice and go himself checked out. I shudder to think of what would have happened if he'd let this slide for longer - TB can be so fast.

TB's actually kind of slow. I'm glad to hear that he went and sought medical attention though. Get well soon, The South Islands!

EDIT:
If we're going to place bets on what's causing the pneumonia, my money would be on Klebsiella pneumoniae. Strep pneumo usually would have more of a greenish sputum and it didn't sound like that.

This is the same fellow that couldn't figure out whether to go see a doctor while he was coughing up blood? I'm glad he got whatever consensus he was looking for last night and decided to get some medical care.

Sometimes I think this group substitutes a little too often for flesh and blood family or friends.
