A bunch of people planned to hold a fund raiser to benefit the family of a girl killed by a drunk driver. The fund raiser featured alcoholic drink specials.

I must say I approve. Dry tributes are boring - you need booze to get through all the sentimental mush.

And the more drunk drivers you can send to the streets, the more fund raisers you can hold.

 That's sad. Seriously. If I was another relative of that girl, I would be insanely mad.

WTF? Alcohol wasn't to blame for her death, a dumb-ass who got into a car after drinking alcohol was responsible.

That's a moron who was drunk. How do you get drunk? Alcohol! If he'd been drinking Coke or Pepsi, he wouldn't have been drunk, would he? :)

Well if he wasn't driving while he was drunk she'd still be alive today. Why doesn't the family insist that people stop driving cars? Blaming the inanimate objects involved in an act of negligent stupidity is in and of itself stupid. It's always the person's fault when he does something that is dangerous, unnecessary and illegal.

These people have obviously never been to an Irish wake. Now there's a booze fest.

People kill People, (guns were made so people could kill people in new ways, cuz the bow and arrow was getting boring)

Not going to bite the bullet(sorry about that) on the gun issue but any one who gets into a car after a drink should be banned from driving for life.If you can't follow the most basic rule of driving you should not be allowed the privilage.

It wasn't drinking that killed the girl anyways. It was an idiot who drank and then got behind the wheel.

I don't know about you, but I'm perfectly sober (and under the legal limit) after a drink.

I got stopped for a DWI once. I've never done it again. I still drink. I still drive. I just make sure that I pick one for the night and don't end up doing both.
Losing one's license for life is a pretty severe penalty. I'd personally rather do five years in prison and come out with a driver's license. The long term impact on my life would be less.
After "a" drink?
Yes after "a" drink.Even one impares your judgment. Why would we do it if it didn't?It dosn't taste all that good if you think about it.

Are you shitting me? An ice cold beer is one of the most refreshing and delicious things on earth. It's not too sweet like soda and juices, and it's as refreshing, but more flavorfull than water.

OK I'll give you that point. Was thinking more about sprits.Still think that it should never be mixed with driving.I kinda biased on this as I have been on the recieving end of a driver who was just under the leagal limit.8 months in a hospital bed with a year in physio tends to alter ones views.

even one shot of a spirit or one mixed drink still won't effect(affect?) your judgement.
*edit*
well.... unless you have a really really really low tolerance :P
