I'm sure there is already a thread about Lost somewhere, but I figured I'd just start another one, because Lost deserves more then one thread. It's such a good show!

personally I think it's the best most intelligent drama on tv in my lifetime. The creators and writers are genius they really are.

My fave characters on the show are Hurley, Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Sun, Mr.Eko, Charlie, and Vincent!:D

i love lost

what amazes ME is that it was the last pilot commissioned by ABC last year. they didnt have a firm concept, changed all the main roles and didnt have a firm committment for the actress that plays kate until the day she was supposed to start shooting. (she is canadian and had to wait for a work visa)

they cut it so close that they had to buy an actual airplane to cut apart. there was no time to make sets.

and yet the show is brilliant. how the hell did they manage that??

its a "people on a deserted island" show.

you should maybe rent the first season at the video store, itll hook you on the show. it hooked my sister who has no particular interest in network tv.

I'm not enjoying the second season as much. The writing is disjointed, and the number of plot holes are just compiling, with no apparent end in sight. Plus some of the characters, mainly Jack, seem to be developing schizophrenia ...maybe going the road of the French woman?

I really like this show and want to know what the heck is happening on this island. However, I'm getting a bit put off by the mounting religious themes in the show. I'm fine with some characters being religious, like Mr. Eko, but now things are starting to spread out in a way that I'm not entirely comfortable with. I don't want it to start getting all preachy and revolving around religion.

I liked the first season very much, but the second season is not even half as interesting. And I was very disapointed when I saw that they suddenly were planning seven seasons (or untill the audience loses interest in the series) when they originally only had planned to make the series last for two.

I'm thinking about not watching it anymore anyhow, because of the notable drop in quality.

Well, I do the Lost dailes and cuts everyday. Trust me. It's downhill slide is getting worse. I see the episodes weeks before thy air and I see the dailies months before the network cuts and this how is turning into a dog.

The Sheild is the best show on the air. That and Over There.

I love lost

but there has been a decrease in quality from the first season, and what we have seen of the second season, althout its still good.

I hope PsychoticDan is wrong
and what he has been shown is only part of some plan to make peoples expectations go down, for what is going to be the SUPERPOONTHRIDSEASON!!
