Dying

Is going to and not returning from war a noble way of dying? If so, wouldn't it seem like a good way for silly emo teens to commit suicide? I know I'm crazy, but does anyone else suspect that Prince Harry is going to war because he can't stand being in William's shadow, and so he'll "commit suicide" by going and dying in Iraq, and be considered some sort of hero for it?

All depends on what was in that dying persons heart, as far am I'm concerned. If they felt they were doing the right thing, and they died for that. They get my respect, verily. I must say though, before and if I never know anything about that soldier, they get a certain amount of respect from me, from just fighting and especially dieing. My pre·rog·a·tive. When there is a war with underlying reasons, the boys don't know that. They are just doing their "duty". They only know what's told to them. I don'lt blame them, I blame the son of a bitches that are in the know of the shit. And those son of a bitches will pay, believe me. One of the many things that are great about believing in God, is the thought of knowing that if a sorry son of a bitch escapes this world without a reverberation, you know their ass will get it eventually.

Not ever having met the man (Prince Harry), I don't know. Wouldn't it be better for him to convince William to go to war? As for the Emo kids, I firmly beleive that the "suicide booths" in Futurama should become a reality. Emo is so annoying. You're filled with angst. We get it!

Everybody is dying. All good health is is dying at the slowest rate possible.

Well, I was specifically wondering if people were going to war because they wanted to die and found conventional methods of suicide too "icky" or whatever (you know, being a big baby and all) and decided to give themselves up without a fight, but because they went to die for the cause, they get remembered as a hero.

Holy cow, we've hit a jackpot of posters from my homestate, Oregon.

In other news, I personally cannot stand emo kids.

I can see it happening. Although since alot of the Emo kids are whimpy, even the thought of getting shot is too horrible. They usually just want to take mommies pills or something.

Well, getting in the armed forces and getting deployed to go to war generally requires a bit of forethought, planning, and just plain luck (good or bad). There are plenty of ways to die that don't take as long and don't involve as much commitment.

People are people in my opinion and I shouldn't pick on a specific category of people, but emo kids always seem so stupi... I mean depressed beyond words.

Yeah, but think about it, you can get your wish of no longer living without having to do the act yourself, and be considered some sort of person better than us lazy scumbags... well, me, anyway... (most people are better than me without trying, anyway ;))

Considering that casualty rates (especially KIAs) have declined significantly as military and medical technology have improved, it's not a very efficient or sure war to suicide.

If you're really determined to die, you'll find a way ;)

I would support suicide booths, this stems from my strong dislikes of emo kids.

Thank you!

I just have no respect for middle-class teens who whine about how bad thier lives are and how they wish to die. Personally, I tried helping those types out a few moons ago to find that many are just attention whores. Now I just tell em to jump off a bridge.

The reason that there are emo kids is because they are to lazy to kill themselves. If you wanted to help them, telling them to jump off a bridge is not enough. You'd have to take the time to shove them off a bridge.

Nah, I am alittle lazy too. Besides, all that time and energy to shove them off the bridge could be used for something more productive. Though hearing the splat may be worth it! :D

If everyone jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge, after awhile, it wouldn't hurt so bad.

No they "think" they're filled with angst when really they're just fed up their life isn't MTV...which it really is, cause emo is the new fad.

But the way I figure, death is inevitable, whether you go out in a bathtub filled with your own blood, a bullet to the head or you just let time do its work, just know this; it will happen sooner or later.

On a long enough time line everyone's chances for survival drop to 0.
