How far down are you?

I admit to being a Video Gamer, which would make me a level 3 geek, I suppose.

At least I'm above "People who write erotic versions of star trek where all the charchters are furries, like Kirk is an Ocelot or something, and they put a furry version of themselves as the star of the story."

Level 4, I guess..."Roleplaying Gamer". I assume they mean RPG's and not roleplay as in NS?

And they left out music geeks. Music-loving is definitely a form of geekiness. :p

I have all this information from watching CSI. Who said prime-time can't be educational?

A furry is someone who dresses up like an animal for fun. Some of them like to have...intercourse...while dressed up.

Furries dress up...

Ya know, one can be a furry without the dress-up. It's more a self-perception thing that's kind of hard to describe.

Actually, fursuiters dress up. Most 'regular' furries do not.

To be a "plushie" only requires that you have a really big interest in plush animals, usually just collecting. Some.. uh... "do the deed" but it's pretty uncommon.

Some people watched the crap that the popular media put on when furries were the "weirdos of the month" and think they're experts, but they don't actually know much at all. That's what you get for watching TV and not staying on the intarwebs where you belong! :p

Well let's see, I haven't written erotic furry fanfic yet? I guess there's hope for this furry geek afterall. Though I'd still consider real hardcore Trekkies geekier than myself.

And no, I haven't used a fursuit.

Like I said, it's all about self-perception. Furries basically don't like identifying themselves as human. At heart, they identify themselves as anthropomorphic animals. Call it animal spirit or whatnot. It's kind of religious, I guess, in a shamanistic sort of way. I personally personify my inner self as a dragon. It's pure fancy, but that's just the way I'm wired.

For this reason, many (but far from all, mind you) are aroused by "erotic furry" artworks. Only a handfull actually do the dress-up thing. For most, it's just a state of mind.

Not sure how much of this made sense, but there you go.
Cromotar
