LOL. Sounds like me. Although sometimes when I'm really bored I answer my 5 issues.

I think I'm a Capitalist Paradise now, but I've seen it all

The People's Republic of Wildwolfden is a very large, devout nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 187 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Public Transport, Education, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 15%. A healthy private sector is led by the Pizza Delivery, Furniture Restoration, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

Meat-eating is frowned upon, traffic jams are a common sight due to construction work from a massive overhaul of the nation's freeways, Wildwolfden's Medieval Faire is renowned as one of the best in the region, and the government seizes all major gold finds. Crime is a serious problem. Wildwolfden's national animal is the Wolf and its currency is the Howl.

Wildwolfden is ranked 5678th in the region and 88,103rd in the world for Largest Welfare Programs (per capita).

Heh, I just managed to hold myself back in the other thread, but since you insist, I'd like to point out that you managed to forever spoil for me the cuteness factor of the expression "happy as a bug in a rug" by applying it to a Capitalist Paradise. :p

As for my nation, yeah I like it, although I seem to be stuck at Democratic Socialists, left to cast envious glances at those in the region with Left-Wing Utopias and a thriving economy.

One thing I really like ( thus far ) is how every stance that doesn't actually DO something, economically, leads to nothing but
-goverment waste
-admin costs
-taxincreases.

Which conforms perfectly with my political outlook.
I dismiss most issues alltogether.

I'm trying to avoid the 100% tax, because as much as I don't mind high taxes, 100% just seems... utterly ridiculous.

At the same time, I am trying to avoid becoming the psychotic dictatorship I became last time. So far, successful, I am a socialist democracy.

These two things are hard enough and sometimes, issues just have to dismissed.

Yeah, it's hard :/ NationStates is biased against socialists/communists on economical scale... and if you take care of the environement too, you're doomed :/

But the economy isn't the most important ;) My people are intelligent, compassionate, enjoy a lot of freedoms, wonderful environement, have education and healthcare, and no one is left aside... that's great =)

I would like to be Left-Wing Utopia ;) but my anti-guns sentence and a few others always step me back to "Democratic Socalists".

*grin* I'm really looking forward to creating a few other states, with highly different philosophies, and try to make them into economical powerhouses as well. Without spoiling their ideology, of course.

I don't really believe there is such a thing as a good or bad ideology - it's just how the great manager uses the tools at hand.

A nazi-state run by Abe Lincoln would, imho, be a nicer place to live in than a left-leaning college state run by Vlad the Impaler.

The Shackled Land of Corruptropolis is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, cynical population of 2.143 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Defence and the Environment are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 100%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

I chose "Could be better", but I definately know my philosophy and am not learning the ropes. It's just taking a while to switch my nation b/c my philosophy changed since I've had it.

I'd like taxes lower than 100% lol but I still want some taxes, and my Civil Rights to be World Benchmark again. As for the UN deal, Civil Rights Lovefest or NY Times Democracy are my preferred choices. And a bigger private sector, and more focus on Religion & Spirituality would be nice but there's only one New Age religious option (cabinet religious guy) out there so I'm kinda left hangin'

havent been doing this too long so it's still a novelty and i think its great!

well i regret my initial stance on law and order because criminals are running amok spoiling the damn serenity dammit and the cops are p***d off!

also, it would have been better if my country had an arable/dairy-based agricultural industry rather than beef based! but as this is the way it is, we'll deal with it. we've just voted to eat our national animal too,(3 toed sloth curry anyone?:D ) but only because we were already eating the poor cows!

My nation is causing me an assload of problems, by being so goddamn efficient. A Beaurocratic Monarchy should have massive admin costs, a sprawling budget, piles of money being wasted, and minimal effect on the populace.
Instead, I have this crappy Father Knows Best thing going on.
Damn you, Max Barry, damn you and your inaccurately optimistic depictions of big government!
And to make matters worse, there appears to be some ruffian out there utilizing a variant of my humble moniker. Or perhaps I made the nation of Fiddlebottoms and forgot about it, I am so very confused today.

It's not exactly where I want it. I keep getting issues I have dealt with many times before. It's sorta staying the same. Plus you gotta think.. Am I thinking about this nation as a person in it.. or the one ruling it? I tend to always go for a member of it. But on some things I just know I gotta do what I gotta do to make things right. Since what people want isn't always what's good for them. (From a line in one of the issues) QFT!
