I was curious :) Why do people click on topics that are flagrant troll bait ? I thought I would remove any religious or ideological window dressing and just cut to the chase.

Mostly to loiter and see what other people say, maybe a little post count boosting.

Because some people are just stupid.

I just like to say things because it amuses me.

Because if everyone stayed away, the poster might get the erroneous feeling that his/her idea is a good one that has broad support. Nothing like popping delusions of adequacy...:D

Don't they just usually cite the example in red/bold and say well, that earned you a ticket outta forumville ...? Of the few i've actually seen they aren't very interesting.

Because deep down inside everyone loves a good troll and flame, but most are too ashamed to admit it. The only people who don't like a good troll/flame are those getting burnt. then they run to the mods like the little crybabies that they are, who come around and spoil all the fun.

It is extremely fun to argue, especially with people who really don't have a clue but will defend to their death their position. It's great to see how silly their posts can get. But there is a skill to knowing when to quit. Usually when the cuss words are the only thing they have to use to defend.

Mostly to mock the beliefs of others. People believe and preach retarded things.
