The world is in a big mess. With Iran heating up and china. God who knows what chinas doing. And I dont truist russia. They seem very supportive of Iran and china. They also have a lot of old soviet missiles laying around.

The world has always been "in a mess." The primary difference today is that some of the idiots causing the messes have weapons of mass destruction. :(

Seriously...you really dont need to worry about China.
Thier only real competitor, is the US, and we are so dep financially, in each others pockets, a war of any kind between the two would end up being disasterous for all concerned.
Its just not going to happen.

N. Korea may have weapons, and a bug up thier ass, but wont risk angering Russia or China, or the US.
Kim is simply rattling the bars of his cage, in exchange for food, or financial support.

The only place you must really be concerned with is a war against Isreal.
This, is probably inevitable, and the US, will likely get involved, and remain a staunch ally to them.
I cant really understand why we ally ourselves with them, and I wonder what exactly we get in return for this alleigance.

Well before the people causing the mess had standing armies of hundreds of thousands and a right to invade anyone they liked. The threat of mutual destruction is a crazy system, but it works. At least it means that the next world war will be that last.

Isreal.....what the hell is in it for us?

1. They feel better by helping the Jews.
2. Jerusalem is in Israel, the holiest city in the world - major to three religions, Christianity, Islam and Judaism.
3. They are effective a part of western thought in the Middle East, trying to keep the region from imploding entirely.

nah, we're not going to war (again)

but we may have to dust off an old tactic that in the olden days was used to avoid armed conflict..... i think it was called diplomacy.

I heard somewhere that a lot of powerful, evangellical Christians believe that for the Apocalypse to begin all of the Jews have to return to Israel. Dunno if it's true though.

I dont know where the world is heading to. Hard question. I voted Not sure but with the way china and iran and russia are talking we may be blowne out of the sky by tommorow.

I don't know Pooty-Poot shows every sign of bringing back the old USSR. He's already throwing his weight around in the former soviet countries, and he could decide he wants Russia to be feared again on the world stage.
