Coretta King, wife of the late Martin Luther King, died last night at the age of 78. Although I didn't always agree with her on everything, I greatly admired her spunk and tenacity. God rest her soul.
She was a great and brave woman. It's amazing how far our country has come with civil rights, and how far we have to go all over the world.
May she rest in peace, be reunited with her late husband, and may they both take comfort in that the dream still lives.

Don't give up the fight, NYC. It's truly a noble and worthy cause. We'll know that we've finally gotten through to people when they judge men and women solely on the quality of their character rather than their sex, race or ( the "last barrier?" ) their sexual orientation. [ To paraphrase Dr. King ]

I've been trying to think of something clever, but the words spunk and tenacity used in the same sentence can't be topped right now by me.
May she rest peacfully.
It's nice to see that she was pro LGBT equal rights, (http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/01/013106kingObit.htm) and thus wasn't a hypocrite like so many other equal and civil rights "leaders" in the US.
