For those who don't know, Giuseppe Rossi is a young soccer player for Manchester United who broke out with a two-goal performance in United's second FA Cup tie with Burton Albion... i can't remember if he's a playmaker or a forward, but at any rate, he looked really good in that game.

He is currently on the Italy Under-21 national team.

He wants to be on the Italy senior team.

The United States, meanwhile, wants him (he was born in new jersey).

So... is he going to become a top-notch soccer superstar?

Is he just an average talent with a limited horizon?

Will he be a long-term star for United?

Italy or USA?

Come on, soccer aficionados, make your voices heard.

If you want to compare him to Walcott, or other top young players, go ahead.

Poll will follow soon.

well i think he probably will become a superstar... for one so young, he showed solid ball-handling, passing and shooting skills.

and if the Azzurri don't snatch him up, hopefully he'll side with the States at the international level.

To be honest, Rossi is the first example of an Italian-American footballer I've ever come across.

I have no real basis to form an opinion on. At the moment, he is only playing cup matches, which I don't watch. But then again, he's about the same age as Rooney and Ronaldo, and anyone that's on the books of Manchester United can play football, at least a little bit.
