Wacky Weather

The weather has been absolutely nutsy here lately- Ridiculously warm, but sometimes fluctuating into quite chilly. There is a canal nearby that ought to be frozen from January to March, but it has only been skateable for a handful of days this year. 'Tis driving me bananas.
Any insane meteorologics where you are?

The weather's been pretty normal here (San Bernadino County, CA).. but those Santa Anas last week were killer.

Where are you at? Its been ridiculously warm here in Michigan this winter too. It's only been below 20F for maybe a week or two all winter. I remember when I was in high school it was -10F most of the winter. It's kinda creepy.

You wouldn't be so cliche, would you? or would your weather have more prank potential? :p

raining cows would hurt. However, raining chocolate pudding, mud, or jello would be amazing.

One week ago, Jan. 22, 2006 the high here in Bangor, ME was 51F (11C), a new record high for that day. Exactly one year earlier, on Jan. 22, 2005 the high was 6F (-14C), while the low was -29F (-34C) -- a new all-time record low. Normal for this time of year? High: 28F (-2C) Low: 3F (-16C).

I know what you mean, here in NC, it's been warmer than usual during Winter. I don't even know if we'll get our usual 2-3 inches of snow.
Yea, the Earth can be pretty "wacky" at times.

The Earth went to a party at Mar's home, got drunk and now it has a hang over.

Damn, but Bangor seems to be a nice town. I stopped there on my way back from Iraq and all of the people I met in the airport were extremely nice. And Maine seems to be a beautiful country from the air on the way to that god-forsaken treeless hellhole known as Colorado.

*shudder*
I like to be about 21C or 70F. When I was in Iraq it got to 54C or 130F and I wanted to die. We Michiganders don't handle the heat very well. It has to get to about 20F or 7C before I put on a real coat, but I can't stand the heat.

It's been weird here too. Unseasonably warm one day, freezing the next, and nasty NASTY rain now and then.
No wonder everyone is sick.

It's been a really mild winter here. Not particularly whacky though. And nothing out of the ordinary.

Michigan weather is always wacky, so I suppose I shouldn't read too much into it. There's a saying here that goes "If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes"

Yesterday it was shockingly foggy, windy and cold. Drive 10 minutes north and it was 28 degrees C and the most beautiful weather. We get some strange fog action here sometimes. Wellington in NZ btw.

Bangor's kinda like Hooterville from Green Acres, but not as funny.

Mais oui. I can see the snow-covered Rideau Canal outside my window. It calls to me, but last time I went out there was more slush than ice. I really hope the weather turns for Winterlude. There's a concert to which I really want to skate.
Oh, and Wallonochia, we had that same saying when I lived in Halifax (On Canada's East Coast). Actually, though, I think Ottawa is more unpredictable.

It was about 5C here today and I saw kids wearing shorts. I'd love it if it stayed above freezing the rest of the winter, but it'll probably freeze back up tomorrow.

Well, we've been having the crappiest winter I've ever experienced here in Nova Scotia. By that I mean it's horrible as a winter. Here we are in what should be the middle of our winter/storm season and the weather is closer to fall or early spring. We haven't even had one storm day, or even near storm day yet! *cries* Give me the snow! The snoooow!
