The Perfect Girl

The Green Plague

Say one were to go out in search of the perfect girl. What would this entail? Guys, what is one trait (physically, emotionally, etc) that you would have to have in "the perfect girl"? Ladies, what trait about you do you think puts you in the running as the ideal date?

This could be interesting.

If I had to pick one trait that would separate the contenders from the rejects, it would be no chronic health problems. Sounds cold, I know, but I have found that does make for a severe strain on a relationship.

The perfect girl? Double D’s, tight ass, beautiful face. Personality doesn’t matter. If I got a chick like that, she could be a total bitch. I wouldn't care

Really, though. The whole “perfect girl” thing is pointless. I mean, as a great man once said, “They’re all the same with the lights off.”

Perfection is merely an ideal, so whats ideal to you is not necessarily ideal to me and vice versa.

I realize that's what you're getting at and just wanting to know what everyone wants in a woman.

But I don't seek ideals, I know people are not perfect - except for me, that is - so really my perfect girl is just the girl with the least amount of ignorable imperfections. No STDs, no history of psychological disorder, violence, no character conflicts with me and my friends, etc.

And nice boobs.

Perfection sure is subjective. The great thing is that we are definitely not going for the same femme. Anyone remember the scene in A Beautiful Mind where gal-chasing is reduced to a problem in physics? I think it is a good thing that our varying images of the ideal lead us in different directions.

Just one? Well, I guess the ability to suck a watermelon through a garden hose ranks pretty high on my list, as does bendability, but I don't think that's what you had in mind.

Basically, I look for three things in a girl: intelligence, beauty, and kindness. While I admit that a woman simply isn't going to get my attention if she looks like Dame Edna, no matter how saintly and learned she is, its also true that a pretty lady is going to get old very quickly if I can't talk with her of if she's shrewish around me or other people.

I had this roommate once. She was a mechanic that loved working on VWs (one day she changed three engines from two bugs), was the only one that could get my dumpy 914 running, was a trained opera singer, loved to sing folk songs including a damn haunting version of House of the Rising Sun, was an absolute joy to be around, one of the only people I've ever met where "Just say whatever comes to my head" wasn't code for "I'm an attention whore and an asshole," she just kept saying nice things and the occasional thing that she meant as nice (it didn't occour to her that my mustache wasn't going to be the first thing people thought of when she described me as looking like a walrus.)

Anyway, she was great. Aaaaannnnd engaged. To another really nice guy. Who really needed her.

She was pretty cool. Hard to top that.

Well, if you ever go to Frankfurt, Germany ask a cabbie to take you to the Marble Palace. IIRC you can find a girl for less than €25. I haven't been to Germany since 2002, and I wasn't into the whole whorehouse thing, but all of my buddies in the Army were. There was one in Rosbach (I think) near Friedberg called the Atlantis that was really clean, but again, whores aren't my thing.

The bed won't really matter when you hit 50, but your mouth will still work without Enzyte. You'll want someone who's good to be around forever.

I was directed to respond in this thread... apparantly pretending to be more conceited than I am.

I know I'm not perfect, nobody is.

I guess the things about me that are likeable would consist of being relatively smart, pretty, funny, I'm able to laugh at myself and kick ass in debate if it's something I feel strongly about and am knowledgable enough about... I'm stubborn as hell... I'm up for nearly anything and everything and will try about anything once. I like to think of myself as being compassionate, but I could probably stand to do better... *shrugs*

Usually I end up in the big debates (abortion, evolution vs creation type things) and get drowned out by the large numbers of responses, but those are things I know more about, I'm not as well versed in politics as I'd like to be so I run out of sufficient information quickly.

Well I found one who is very close to perfect for me, but the problem is getting her back again!

I went out with her over two years ago and she didn't really look all that...girlish. But I didn't care, because she never judged people. That's my perfect girl: someone who doesn't judge others based on only one trait...and a girl with nice sized breasts, and a good, round ass. Not too fat either.;) Damn, I need her again :(

Some days, I wonder what life might be like if I cohabitated with you in that strange land that exists only between your ears, but I am grown to suspect that such an experience would run off what little sanity I've retained for myself. So, then, lacking the artifice and courage to see for myself what the truth of the matter is, I am left only with my own imaginings and reasoning, and I am filled with an indescribable terror at these.

The perfect girl is subjective. For me, the top five list goes something a-like this:

1.) Fun-Loving
2.) Stable (mentally)
3.) Witty
4.) Smart
5.) Free-Thinking

Looks, I've found, aren't a criteria (though I won't lie... they're bonus points). I've found myself attracted to and dated many girls who some would not classify as attractive... and even a few whom my friends have deemed unattractive. On the other hand, I've dated hot girls with absolutely no personality or stability whatsoever... and personally, I've had a much happier time with the personable ones over the hot ones.

When it comes down to it, personality means a lot when it comes to attraction... much more, in fact, than a nice rack. A rack goes flat guys... and when you can't get hard anymore, it'd be nice to have someone you enjoy having around for other reasons. We all look like a train wreck when we reach old age anyway.

Though, if you're fugly and you have no personality, good luck to you.

Oh. And avoid the crazy ones. I have debated for five minutes about switching criteria #1 and #2... if she's crazy, it will probably get worse, and she'll take you to hell in a handbasket with her. Believe me.

I've already imagined my "perfect girl" almost one year ago, and I'm stick to this description, wich follow roughtly translated from French (by the way : there's a bunch of native French-speaking chicks out there in Québec, but I don't think they will have a french accent while using English...)

Psychological
funny
sarcastic
romantic
quick-minded
tender
empathic

Physical
caucasian
redhead
green eyes
150lbs max
good hips (something like 32 or higher)

Additionnal must
some knowledge in politics or history, aversion for the Liberal Party, passions other than movies or poetry

But quickly, a capacity of joking is the most important trait, according to me.

My Grandmother used to advise, "Kissin' don't last, Cookin' do."

Seriously, I was attracted to my wife by how easy it was to talk to her about anything. Very intelligent. Very confident. Very goal oriented. Very hard working. Never really believed there could be one perfect person. And I wasn't really looking. We dated several times before there was any attraction beyond enjoying whatever entertainment we had on the date. But as love grew, I reached a point where no one else was even close. That was 23 years and 3 children ago.

For those of you younger people. Looks is the last thing to look for. Looks pass over the years. Sex is the second to last thing to look for. If you're in love all sex is great. And there will be waves of sex in married life depending on outside conditions. Anything from 5 times per day to once in five weeks. Just being able to hold each other and feel the power of love flow through as you melt into one person is far more important than "the act". I can't really describe that feeling. It is something that develops with love and has nothing to do with sex.

Assuming nothing horribly unexpected happens I'll be studying Angers, France next fall, so hopefully their English won't be the best. And yeah, most Québecois I've met sound a lot like me when they speak English. However, my state having 3 border crossings into Canada might have something to do with that.

I like girls that are... hmm, what's the word? Fragile looking? As in, very tall, very thin, very pale, with that particular type of eye that always looks distracted or dreamy. Red head/slight brunette, blue eyes, ~6' tall. But then, I'm basing this on the only girl I've had a crush on so far >.>

More personality traits will become important if I ever actually start dating girls; at the moment it's looks-based because... well, if you never talk to them, they don't need to be incredible conversationalists.

A dealbreaker would be that horrible ditzy cheerleader type laugh, or any non-Australian, non-English accent (mmmEnglish accent).

And me? well... I'm funny, apparently. And I'm damn stubborn in the few debates I hold opinions in (and I'll debate just as fiercely in topics I don't know as well, but I'll always admit defeat graciously). Plus, once I put back on that goddamned 5kg I lost sometime last year, I'll be back up to a C/D ^.^

The Perfect Girl is one who will accept that I won't necessarily be the Perfect Guy for her, will feel free to question me about the things I say, do and think that she may have difficulties with, will do so in a constructive and informative manner, but that will also be open to questions of my own and analysis of her own standpoint without taking offense where none is intended, and she will be willing to grow and adapt alongside me as our time together passes.

Beyond that, I could ask for nothing more.

Personality and intelligence are the major criteria. I need a girl I can have intelligent conversations with, and we need to be able to "click" on a personality level. Have some common interests, common beliefs, and even common weirdnesses.

Physically, I've tended to find dark-haired or brown-haired girls more attractive than blondes or red-heads, but that's mostly a detail. I've been attracted to girls whe weren't particularly attractive in a physical sense, but whose personality I really liked, and who were intelligent.

Superficiality, lack of intelligence, is the greatest turn-off. It really makes even physically beautiful girls seem downright uninteresting.

......very........carefully...........

I asked my husband once "what do you think made you want to marry me?"

and he said "well, I wanted to have sex"

"you proposed because you wanted to have sex?!"

"yeah, and I stayed married to you because I liked it!"

I am pretty sure he had other reasons though...........

I asked him last night "do you think I am the perfect girl?"
he said "nope...........I think you are the perfect woman, mostly because you are wonderfully flawed"

LOL:p

This could be interesting.
one trait? intelligent.
if i'm allowed two i'd also go for caring/kind

other than that i have preferences i'd like in a partner; such as looking pretty, a sense of humour compatible with my own, having bright eyes and a nice smile, being able to cook or at least share my interest in food and flavour, musical... things like that.

and you know what the best thing is? i have found her! :fluffle: :fluffle: :D

I couldn't when we got married :p (the stuff he has had to eat along the way was terrible too)

I think he was probably kidding then.

I know for a fact that when we were dating he told his best friend "I really like this girl, she is the most intelligent person I have ever met, she is hilarious, and beautiful, and she will go see stupid movies with me and, play Nintendo, and everything!"

I think that is probably why he married me. ;)

I think someone like that would be freaky and/or boring

As long as I think she's pretty and I'm in love with her (duh), she's good.
Yes, I know I have low standards, but who cares, I've fallen for very diferent kinds of girls.

Assuming nothing horribly unexpected happens I'll be studying Angers, France next fall, so hopefully their English won't be the best. And yeah, most Québecois I've met sound a lot like me when they speak English. However, my state having 3 border crossings into Canada might have something to do with that.

As far as hot French accents go, Belgian chicks take the prize.

Hey. We didn't say she exists... but a guy can hope, huh?

I have to modify my list... I was thinking about it last night, and I think the best word to describe the perfect girl is "genuine". I've only met a handful of people who were really geniune to themselves and everyone around them in my entire life, and I have to say, most of those people were really awesome.

Though, I have met some genuinely depressing people too... that's why my list also includes "stable".

The perfect girl is Chuck Norris?

But in all seriousness, my perfect girl would be intelligent but with a tinge of comedic craziness (ass opposed to batshit insane). Also, not being repulsed by me is a req. Kind of attractive doesn't help.
I found my perfect girl, though she isn't interested in me like that (not that I can or can't tell because I can't take hints and she is a bit odd).

lBasically, I look for three things in a girl: intelligence, beauty, and kindness.

whats all this bullshit about being "kind" or "nice" about? id much prefer a girl thats just like me: a real asshole with the ability to kick someones ass or curse off anyone. 2 other important things, of coarse (if were gettin married), is being a good cook and not mind cleaning, since those are what her primary functions will be...those and sex

o yea, she also needs to share my tastes in music. a girl that likes cream and jimi hendrix would be awesome (but im not sure if they make those), and ill have none of that emo bullshit in my house

A funny, fun, intelligent, and amazingly beautiful girl, who is in the 5'7"-5'10" range (I'm 6'1", and having a girl who barely has to bend over to reach me naughty bits isn't a very major priority), who is a bit more curvy than the generally accepted "perfect" body type, and who is completely capable of acting like a complete looney, but not in a psycho/depressed/depressing way.

I don't really care about race or hair color or whatever, there are beautiful girls of every ethnicity. I do like light eyes over dark eyes, though.

I did mention that I don't really like psycho/manic girls, but I can definetely stand them with little trouble. Being crazy in some way is still required for me to really like someone. I can't relate with normal people, too much insanity in my family.

Here's what the Bible has to say about the perfect girl:

Blessed is the man that hath a virtuous wife, for the number
of his days shall be double.
A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband, and he shall fulfil
the years of his life in peace.
A good wife is a good portion, which shall be given in the
portion of them that fear the Lord.
Whether a man be rich or poor, if he have a good heart toward
the Lord, he shall at all times rejoice with a cheerful
countenance.
There be three things that mine heart feareth; and for the
fourth I was sore afraid: the slander of a city, the gathering
together of an unruly multitude, and a false accusation: all
these are worse than death.
But a grief of heart and sorrow is a woman that is jealous
over another woman, and a scourge of the tongue which
communicateth with all.
An evil wife is a yoke shaken to and fro: he that hath hold
of her is as though he held a scorpion.
A drunken woman and a gadder abroad causeth great anger, and
she will not cover her own shame.
The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and
eyelids.
If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she
abuse herself through overmuch liberty.
Watch over an impudent eye: and marvel not if she trespass
against thee.
She will open her mouth, as a thirsty traveller when he hath
found a fountain, and drink of every water near her: by every
hedge will she sit down, and open her quiver against every
arrow.
The grace of a wife delighteth her husband, and her
discretion will fatten his bones.
A silent and loving woman is a gift of the Lord; and there is
nothing so much worth as a mind well instructed.
A shamefaced and faithful woman is a double grace, and her
continent mind cannot be valued.
As the sun when it ariseth in the high heaven; so is the
beauty of a good wife in the ordering of her house.
As the clear light is upon the holy candlestick; so is the
beauty of the face in ripe age.
As the golden pillars are upon the sockets of silver; so are
the fair feet with a constant heart.

-Sirach 26: 1- 18
