Is There A New Member of the Bush Family? (http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20060129150109990011&ncid=NWS00010000000001)
Take it as what you will, but I love how the Hard Right can't use Bill Clinton as the Liberal Bogeyman any more.

"Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton," he said, referring to how Bill Clinton had followed his father, and Hillary Clinton could follow him.
lol It seems Hillary is also gonna be part of the family. :p

Oh, I'm sure they can still use Clinton as the boogeyman. It's completely possible to like someone, even if politically you think they are satan's spawn.

I hear Bill Clinton is very likeable in person.
I hear Bill Clinton is very likeable in person.
My cousins got to meet him in India. They thought he was a swell guy.

You know what's funny about that? President Clinton is villified by the right, and yet everyone who meets him says he's personally charming.
President Bush is villified by the left, but everyone who meets him says he's personally charming.
Do you think it's a pattern? We elect nice guys then proceed to make them spawns of Satan? :D

People don't like to vote for someone they don't think is personable. It's funny. Guys like Kerry, Dole, Dukakis and Gore are extremely intelligent people. But they get beat by guys like Bush and Clinton because people genuinely like them. I've not met Bush, but I've met Clinton a number of times and he comes off as a charming, personable kind of guy. I didn't get that from Kerry or from Dole when I met them.
It doesn’t surprise me. They are both involved in the US government and thus share a common enemy, individual freedom. I bet when they get together they make jokes about how they could have Bush jr. make syaing the word “is” ilegal and there would be nothing anyone could do about it because they have the guns. Bastards. If they both died in some horrible plain crash tomorrow, I’d laugh.

I dunno if Bush will be allowed in the Ex Presidents club.
They might just be like "Who is he? Nope...never heard of him."

Bush and Kerry are related - why not Clinton and Bush?

Oh I never said I was sane or serious, just raised in a family where political debates and getting into screaming matches with those you like is considered high entertainment... Right before my grandmother starts the icecube and whiped cream war. :p

If she's cute, I'll deal with the weird.

Um... my younger sister is indeed very beautiful, however...
This is a woman who belived we were at war with Canada for 2 days.
Who cries at the end of Jaws and Godzilla movies because the shark gets blown up or Godzilla gets dumped into a volcano.
Who one time responded to a title card saying "London, England" with "London's in England?"
Who has sold homemade perfume to boys (said perfume being made out of flowers, leaves, and water out of a dog's bowl).
Who has picked flowers out of neighbors yards, then sold them back to them.
Etc.. etc... etc...

You've made your point. Guess I'll have to just stick with my current girlfriend. :)

Actually, that's a tendency that is very old in the US's electoral history. John Adams and his son, John Quincy Adams, were both incredibly intelligent men, but both served only one term. The first Adams lost to Jefferson, who was not only intelligent, but an excellent writer. The second Adams lost to Jackson, who... Well, he wasn't exactly an intellectual.

News reports have annouced a double coming out; GWB daughter and Clintons daughter both annouced their secret love affair - to put it succinctly they said in unison, "its quite simple, we love bush!" :fluffle:

Hey listen, I just want you to first understand I am only a youngster in college and have no evil motives. But..well that just sounds dang attractive. Something.....weird...about me?
Oh and to add to the thread, well I am a pretty hardcore funie conservative, but I can totally see how two ex-presidents could get along regardless of their political sides.

That's because you don't know her yet.
