:( I just hit my funny bone. It wasn't funny. Why the hell do we even have that reflex/pain nerve/bone/whatever? Whats its point other than aggravation?

To give the women in my life(Mother, sister and wife) a place to hit me when I behave mischievously. *nod*

Well, it's funny to everyone else around you when you hit it. Watching the 'funny bone' dance and accompanying barrage of verbal filth that goes with it.

it's where the ulnar nerve goes close to the surface (the ulna's a bone). could also ask why does the sciatic nerve gets pinched. they're just flaws in our design.

The technical term for it is the "humorous" bone. Thus why they call it the "funny" bone. Not quite sure what the reason for it is, but I've heard you can function without one.

That would be the femur (http://www.bartleby.com/107/59.html). The humerus (http://www.bartleby.com/107/51.html) articulates with the scapula to form the upper arm and shoulder.

That was it.
Nevertheless, be it bone, nerve or fucking imaginary, it hurts like hell when you hit it hard enough.
