Crappiest Movie Trilogy?

What movie trilogy do you think is the crappiest and an embarassment to the entire world?

No, I am not adding a poll, as a poll can destroy the entire purpose of a thread.

Star Wars I-III, and also The Matrix trilogy. Those sucked, expect perhaps the first Matrix.

I agree, the Matrix sucks

Matrix as a trilogy blows... HARD.

The Three Colours films, arty pap with no value whatsoever.

Any and all 'creature feature' trilogies

The Teen Apocolypse Trilogy.
Totally Fucked, Doom Generation and Nowhere. I've only seen Doom Generation... It was enough. Although there is a decapitated human head that talks in a mound of cabbage heads, so there are Ed Wood points.

Well, a lot of trilogies end up being crppy because sometimes people just mindlessly add things on without even trying to make them good movies.

The Matrix
Because the sequels completely destroy the series after a brilliant and promising beginning, and I mean beyond all hope of redemption.
The last two movies blow!

The new Star Wars trilogy is a close second, but they are unsuccessful in destroying what the original trilogy built and thus do not climb to the top.

Well, i do not know about "god awful", but they certainly are crap compared to the original trilogy. Also, because of the prequels, the original movie was renamed to Star Wars episode IV: A new hope, even though just the words "star wars" on their own sound better.
Also, prequels are always crap anyway.

I had so many hopes for the Matrix. I spent months talking about the matrix at the back of all my class. I had theories and plots and everything made up. And then I went to the last film and saw that my plot would have made the film so much better. It was such an anti-climax.

Matrix for the win!

The 'Look Who's Talking!' movies:

Look Who's Talking!
Look Who's Talking Too!
Look WHo's Talking Now!

Yes, it was. But the posters called it: Star Wars. *nod*

Gotta say 1).Matrix, First film was unique, the follow ups were rushed and over cgi'ed.
2).Star wars episodes 1+2 also over cgi'ed and what was jar jar binks about, episode 3 was ok but darth at the end NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! dear oh dear.
3). Dusk til dawn, first film was cool, didn't need the sequels, too cheaply done and crap non-actors

That was my own trilogy on the worst trilogies that come to mind.

Relax it was just a particularly fat and unweildy novel.
Though there is some series of ten books with a similar title that began appearing a couple of years later.

Damn! Don't frighten me like that... You could injure people with such statements.

I was going to say the first (ie made second) Star Wars, however I only watched no 1 (4) and could not face the other two after that....and I don't thinks its because I'm now 36 that I thought it was shite either...

They're unlikely to try filming that one after the reception Battlefield Earth got: I think the Cof$ has told Travolta that he should be saving his money so that they can use it to sue people rather than wasting it on filming movies that make Hubbard look ridiculous.

I'd agree. The prequel trilogy really was mostly crap compared to the original and the Matrix trilogy was a huge disappointment.

The Matrix trillogy seems to be a major hit in this thread..... (and agrees with the majority)

I thought that the third SW of the second trillogy was good (other two are extreamly questionable).

The Third Terminator of the trillogy was awfull.

What else....

If they didn't make a 4th Alien, I'd say that Alien 3 sucked....

Terminator 1 was great, Terminator 2 was nice, Terminator 3 was terrible...
Also, Species 1 was allright but Species 2 was so bad that I didn't find the courage to watch the third.

I thought it was always "Episode IV: A New Hope."

Nope. It was originally called just 'Star Wars'. It wasn't until the 80s that George Lucas, scenting another way to make a buck, tacked on the "Episode IV: A New Hope" malarky. Them what claim different are just telling you that 'We have always been at war with Eurasia'.

I have to disagree with everyone in regards to the Matrix Trilogy. Now it certainly wasnt the best trilogy but I am sure there are far worst series other than them. People only hated Revolutions for it's unconventional ending. As for the Star Wars prequel trilogy, only the first two movies sucked, Episode I for it's corny plot and Episode II for it's stupid love plot. Episode III on the other hand is comparable in quality to the original movies. Maybe I like the last movie in the trilogies because I am a sucker for climaxes(of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi was by far the best).

I'd not heard that (mind you, I admit I haven't watched the film either): it was a very fat book so they might have split it up into chunks.
Still, if they binned the other two films when the first one stiffed, there's been no harm done.

Godfather...! Heh, nearly got you there... :P

No, the most lousy trilogy most be... Lord of the Rings...!!

...You didn't believe that, did you?

But here it is:

Cube 2 to 4.

The first Cube were so brilliant while the other three were mucus, puke, excrement and rancid pee compared to it.

Well I havn't seen all the "look who's talking movies", the "honey I shrunk the kids movies", any other potentially crappy across the boards trilogies, HOWEVER

I rate the Matrix over the new star wars films, the first Matrix was friggin awesome, the last two sucked... can't say that about Episodes I-III

I hate you George Lucas for destroying that part of my childhood.

Cool bad guys that die in the same movie.

Jedi Knights taken by surprise.

Close second the matrix. Good start and petered out.

Honey I shrunk could be considered but I didn't mind the first one.

Ahh well...
