Just rented and watched this film. Nice work!

Jodie Foster once again proves that she's the best thing to come out of Hollywood since Audrey Hepburn.

If you haven't seen it, see it. It's worth the rental at least.

Oh, and if you have, let's try not to put any spoilers here for those who haven't seen, but want to see, it.

I lost any and all respect I had for Jodie Foster (and Forest Whitaker for that matter) after the travesty of cinema that was "Panic Room"

I'll pass.

Awww ... come on ... bad writing does not equal bad actress. Panic Room could have been good, but the writing was lacking.

I didn't like it much. All it did was make me annoyed at Jodie Foster, even after the plot turn. :P

True enough...and I never said Foster or Whitaker were bad, I simply said I lost all respect for them.

An actor reads scripts before signing on to a role...at least I assume. Surely, these people, who do this stuff for a living, should be able to spot horrible writing when they see it.

Foster should have run from the building screaming after reading the script for Panic Room...that she didn't says something about her. (Not sure what...but it says something. :p )

Unfortunately, sometimes it's their agents. Agents are like lawyers. You really don't want to trust them, but sometimes you have to.

Agreed. For a start they should have called it 'hidey-hole' or something more catchy.

Agreed. I used to be fairly supportive of Foster's work, but even this was no redemption. She obviously was the high point of this movie that I personally thought was mostly wretched (thank God I work for a movie theatre and didn't have to pay to see it), but it wasn't quite enough for me to understand how you could've loved it so much, Keruvalia.

Why do you have to have respect for an actor in order to enjoy their acting? So she screwed up once - that doesn't mean she's going to do it again.

Hey, you never know what a script looked like when they read it (as opposed to after the 74 rewrites made just before and during shooting), and you still leave your dialog at the mercy of the editor. Who knows what ended up on the cutting-rom floor....

Besides, I was far more annoyed with her for Maverick....

Rent "Red Eye" it's better. Audrey Hepburn? I don't think so. Speaking of airplaine movies I can't believe they're making a flick about the people who fought against the terrorists on that jet bound for the Pentagon on 9/11. DOH!!!!
