...Hm, that seems a bit lame, but I'm pretty tired, so I'm not functioning at 100%.
I can't speak much for most of the series as I've only played San Andreas, but I don't think it would make a good movie just because too much would be lost in translating from one format to another. What makes it such a great game isn't so much the plot but rather the freedom you have to do anything you want and explore the gigantic world, and you don't get any of that with a movie.

Further, since the GTA series borrows from crime movies and TV shows for its story lines there are several versions of it as a movie out there.
But even further, the game is pretty cinematic and deep in its storyline (well, sort of deep) so I don't know how much more enjoyable a movie version would be.
And then there is always the chance that it will be directed by Uwe Bolls, and no one wants that...

The game doesn't really get fun until everyone has a weapon. When a grandma turns a flame thrower on the gang member that just bumped her on the corner, that's when it's party time...

BTW, the cheat for the sandstorm makes it so that the fighters basically can't shoot you down when you fly out of the county. I like the jetpack personally, but i've made it with a jet and a plane before. It's not easy flying though.
Start Making a cast for the movie. We know Samuel L. Jackson would do San Andreras, and Chris Penn would've been in it(R.I.P.) but I dunno who else.
