What are you talking about? He just said that he didn't want someone shining a laser pointer in his face while he's trying to play the game.

And he wasn't the only one to get the laser pointer on him as he was shooting free throws. One of his teammates got it too.

In the early days of professional basketball (when the was no out of bounds, there were chicken wire fences to keep the ball in play at all time) fans would burn the players with their cigars. A laser in the eye is a minor thing. Suck it the fuck up King James!

Cigar burns are nothing. You could permanently blind someone with a laser pointer(depending on the type) and at the least cause someone enough minutes of blindness to stop playing as well. A cigar burn is nowhere near the same, what the hell is that going to do besides hurt and leave a mark? A laser pointer can harm someone's professional courier for like. ^_~

Yeah but it would easily go into the eye. And it could be mistaken for a sniper. It endangers the game.

Yeah, but they do get fired or become pariahs of the fans. If some fellow sport enthusist wants to get some ass in trouble for ruining the game, its cool. Then once the fan is put on television he will be assaulted randomly by crazed basketball fans...
