Hey all,

Number one I am almost clueless on how to build a website. I have a business I need to put up a website for show and concert information. I have talked to a few web designers but they want an arm and half a leg to do it. Any suggestions on a low cost method. Talking under $500 or so... Something I can do or a employee can put together.

Well if you're not concerned about overall quality, just get a copy of Microsoft Frontpage. It's extremely user friendly.

If you'd like something a little more streamline and pleasing, grab a copy of this book:

Make it your Bible.

If you want a professional website for a business, yuou are going to be shelling out cash. Unless you know some one who knows HTML, Flash, CSS, and everything else.

Anyone can do HTML, it's throwing in the stuff that makes it look good that is a bit challenging.

or frontpage would do the trick - it has tutorials and templates, and it'll do most of the stuff like site navigation and feedback forms for you
edit: problem with it is you'll have to check with your host that you can run frontpage extensions on their server (might cost extra) and that you can upload in html rather than ftp... but thats something to ask your host about (don't worry about it now)
