Google is hypocritical. They refuse to turn over their search logs to our government but willingly censor their search engine for the Chinese market.

I'll think you'll find they're completely unhypocritical. You're just looking at the issue from a human rights stand point as opposed to Google's Private Profit Motive stand point. ie How do we even stand a chance of getting into the chinese market - censor our searches. Will turning over our search logs to the US gov completely undermine our credibilty in the Western hemisphere and thus anililate our profits - yes.

heh, yea, after I read that article, I went to google and searched for 'Terror bomb al qeuda why the hell is the FBI spying on us' and other random searches, I mean, completely random non-government related things like 'terrorism airplane google will protect us from the FBI'
I hope they see it... I even emailed the editor of that article and thanked him, I hope the FBI got the email too..
