So this galloway guy is bad, eh? Looks like this tapes worsens his reputation(if thats possible). He evidently visited iraq, and is seen here shaking hands and smililing with Uday Hussein..My question is, do you all think he had financial ties to iraq in the 90s?

Even better is when you see the video with audio, and he looks directly at Uday and says "We are with you to the very end"

So Brits, how do you feel about a member of your parliament pledging allegience to murderers?

However, Galloway is a twat, and has lost any political credibility he had with most people. Of late, he has done fuck all - to the best of my knowledge - for his constituents, and for that reason alone should no longer be in parliament.

Mind you. I'm from Northern Ireland, so I suppose I can't complain about MPs claiming a salary and then doing shit all.

Big "meh"

When you're visiting a foreign country and an important person comes up to you, you're hardly going to blank them, are you?

I think the same of this as I did the footage of Rumsfeld being all "buddy buddy" with Saddam.

A much more famous quote was when he said to Saddam himself: "Sir, I respect your strength, your courage and your indefatiquability."

So Brits, how do you feel about a member of your parliament pledging allegience to murderers?

I completely condemn the man, he is a mewling hypocrit.

On the other hand, don't I remember you condoning the US training South American paramillitaries to kidnap, torture and murder innocent civilians if it advanced US economic interests? I smell hypocrisy.

That?

Rumsfeld has met Hussein the same number of times as Galloway. I think.

And right around the time the US was arming him...so they were considerably more disturbing visits than Galloway's

I notice, however, despite his bluster, he never actually re-entered the US to face his contempt charges.

On the plus side, his appearance on big-brother precludes the success of any more of his idiotic McLibel cases.

The difference? Now that Rumsfeld is more than just Reagans yes man, he decided to right a wrong made back in 1984, as opposed to Galloway, who still has Saddam's cock in his mouth.

Where was he?

He showed up, he lied, he was asked to come back to explain his lies, he responded by claiming it was all baseless accusations and looking forward to vindicating himself, and then he never showed up again.

Instead he went on big brother.

Not really. Back then he could claim damage to his reputation. THe high court only reviews what was presented at trial &c.

It would be impossible for anyone to damage his reputation further at this point - he's done that to himself. So no new libel for galloway.

The senate nevr accualy charged him, which makes it seem like they where bluffing. Also his job was to talk to saddam hussain, and though the guy was a complite basterd, he had courage, strength and was indefatigabie. Besides if I was in teh present of a despot id say nice things to him.

This new stuff is all meh anyway

Where was he?

Where he highlighted the fact that the Americans had far more dealings with Saddam than he did. Directly and indirectly. It helps show the rotten undercore of hypocrisy which lies beneath the bleached smile of American rhetoric.

I honestly don't care about who my government ties itself to. And if you're from the USA, you're a hypocrite: Taliban + CIA. Connect the dots.

And if you're not from the USA (or from the CoW), you didn't take part in the war, so I don't care about your opinion. 'Nuff said.

But he was perfectly aware of what Saddam was like in 1984, as were they all. These people have no concept of principle, save America uber Alles, and themselves not far behind. This is why we all know the talk about the "Iraqi people" is crap. At one stage they were supplying both sides simultaneously (Iran V Iraq).

We all know Galloway's a tit. I'm listening to him right now on Radio 2 and he's an ass.

Only reason I liked him at all was the bit where he took the Senate Committee apart. Otherwise he's a wannabe Stalin.

Not as badly as I would have done 20 years ago if my President was supporting and arming those very same murderers.
