what do you think of his threats, just trying to get a public opinion here

He's desperate.

I think he's scared. Maybe of the US, but maybe because of Iraq becoming a Shi'ite state. I think he's also desperate to hit us in order to show his supporters that he's still relevant. I think his quote "we will hit you when we're ready" probably was a signal to cells that they should act as soon as they are capable.

So where's Osama bin Hidin'?

I don't think the US government cares too much about finding him anymore. His periodic Al-Jazeera tapes are politically convienent for an administration that governs by fear.

He clearly works for the CIA. I can see the mountains that are in the background of the tapes everytime I look out my window. :p

The problem is that they will attack only when they're damn ready to. I'm sure that we've foiled some serious plots to either blow up or contaminate locations in the US, but since its all classified higher than god we'll never ever hear about it for 75 years, for fear of revealing sources and methods.

But as for where Osama's been hiding...that's obvious: wherever the hell he's been hiding.

that is fairly true, the first WTC attack was pretty much foiled and had no effect, the second, i think he figured the planes flyin into them would knock them down, when in reality it was the fire, due to a little weakness of structure from the planes. his plans maybe arnt that well planned, i think he concentrates mainly on the method not the effect.

I think all this attention on one name is unproductive and serves as a distraction from the bigger questions of who sponsors and provides sanctuaries and funding for jihad.

So, lets get this straight - Bin Laden who launched a devestating attack on New York through his proxies whilst - lets repeat that "whilst" - number one on the CIA most wanted list...and who - despite the might of one super-power and many fellow travelling nations - has evaded capture since is bad at organisation.
