to those who don't know American Football, it does look violent... and that most of the hockey games I've seen includes at least a couple of fights... (i don't watch hockey that much either) it does look violent.

I hate watching American football. Its so boring. I mean all the hoopla and the ball moves like 3 feet. Its silly. All the money it generates is unbelievable. And the commentators....they have to explain each move and try to make it sound so technical. "Barkowski runs to the left, then the right, he falls on his face and gets a 1st down.....blah blah"

We don't care whether or not you like American Football.

We don't care how much you bring up your arguments regarding American Football, we like the sport, and that's not going to change.

No matter how often you bring up how much Europeans dislike American Football, it will never change the simple fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans love football...and HATE soccer.

Running the ball seems to be the most continously-stupid thread within football{AM} that I've noticed. It does Nothing. 1-3 - maybe 5 if your lucky - yards.

And the commentators....they have to explain each move and try to make it sound so technical.

Actually, the point of the game is to get the strangely shaped ball to the other end of the field, either by carrying it there, throwing it there, or kicking it between two long poles.

Getting to beat the crap out of people is just a nice bonus. :D

Well, I didn't go to either University, and generally cheer for them both, but when they play each other then I gotta admit I'm a Wolverine Fan. I'm an odd ball because I like Ohio State, unless they play UofM.
