I say a bunch of NSer's get together in the Keys and hold a second revolution! Freedom! Indepence! Stale Cuban Bread!

Yeah, it was pretty cool. I always liked Sealand and the Hutt River Province Principality too. Sealand's probably my favorite just because of it's interesting history - having fought off what they claim was an "invasion", undergone a coup, had it's proper government restored, and more.

It may actually be have finally been granted it's soverenty by the UK. link (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1905641,00.html) (I say may because there seems to be no official source for the articles claim.)

The republic of Conch and
The Republic of The Conch Republic
are reserved for a former nation, I checked this out along time ago, when I considered creating the Conch Republic on Nationstates.

You could always go for the next best thing and make the Crotch Republic. Different, yes, but with about the same ring to it.

Agreed. 'Twas a bit before my time, but after reading about it, I have to say it's the best way to make a statement.

I'm all for the gathering, especially since I will have the shortest commute. (I live in Florida) But lets pass on the stale bread. We can just have lots of cheap beer instead.

The bread's not for eating, it's for beating U.S. soldiers with.

Well, technically, it was just ceremoniously broken over some guy in a uniform's head. And besides, nowadays, if you tried beating a soldier with anything, you'd probably get shot as a suspected terrorist.

So their country was independant for one minute, before surrendering and being "occupied" and yet they have a week long holiday for their independance...

That sounds like my type of country!
