Wow.
And I thought American politicians were strange! :D
Nah it's not. It'll be forgotten about.
You seem to be under the impression that Celebrity Big Brother, and the actions of people on it, actually carries any real weight.

And just think - it's him that helps make decisions in Westminster.
You know how he was involved in that Saddam-oil crisis?
I am a reader of Private Eye, and front page of this edition is a picture of George lapping up the "milk" from Rula Lenska's hands, and there is a speech bubble saying:
"And then Saddam said 'you can get up now'".
Satirical magazines are brill.

Have you got this fortnight's issue?

The criticism seems misplaced to me. For starters he spends more time with his constituents then most MPs have in his years as an MP and leaving your constituency to be run by other officials isn't uncommon. Yes he did a robot dance in some spandex kinda thing but really criticise his policies not his character or his celevrety status.
I personally think he's given his constituency some media attention (and quite frankly who would have cared about that Bill Galloway missed, if he wasn't in the house) and his ideas have been heard by people who wouldn't have known before. Overall I take the view that he wants publicity and heck any publicity is good publicity...(execpt if your a lib dem)

But seriously, would you want your MP in the Celebrity Big Brother house making a complete nob of himself in front of the nation?

Really, all Galloway's done is made a badly judged attempt to reach out to the younger generation. As a politition, though, I practically idolise him. However, Big Brother isn't a good way to make yourself seem credible to younger, less political people.
I remember when he visited our school. Afterwards, we wrote letters to him. He replied to each one PERSONALLY. And I was one of the first to be cheering from the stands when he made his speech to the Senate. People seem too eager to judge this man by what he does on a stupid reality show which, no matter what, WILL make people do incredibly stupid things, and not for his overwhelmingly impressive political career.

Nope, I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait to see how they handle these spying claims when they get round to it.

Maybe we wont get to hear any more rabid blather from him?
Imagine say- Ted Kennedy doing the same sort of things? I guess its better than a drunk driving drowning of someone's daughter.

Like the "anti-war" movement didn't embarass itself enough by insisting that France and Russia should determine American, British and Australian policy, and by insisting that Iraq was better off with the dictator in charge.

Senators are pricks with notoriously over-inflated egos. This ain't the UK. You aren't actually supposed to talk back to them. They are your betters. You are supposed to nod solemnly, and that's it.

I am I the only person who doesn't care? It just seems to me that everyone is oh-so-happy to pick him up on anything he does. What's so wrong with a man wearing a leotard? What' so wrong with a man trying to come with a dance routine to express distress through robotic dance... odd... but not wrong. It's not like he was caught lying to the British public about ANYTHING or anything as innocent as that.
I agree, I think the man's a self-agrandising, self-promoting, power hungry twat. But I really don't think this is... worthy of note.

Yes, it's fine for a man to do that if he so wishes, but really...
for a member of the House of Commons to do it on national television is a little too much I think. What he does behind closed doors is really none of our business, but on TV? No, it's just unacceptable.
Does it not bother you that that man is a representative of our people?
Not only is it bad publicity for him, it's bad publicity for the nation as a whole:
what kind of people are we that we elect a complete pillock like him?
