Pittsburgh beat the hell out of Denver today.

So the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to the superbowl!

Whats your thoughts on that great game?

And what do you think of the Steelers?

I'm behind the Steel Curtain. My friend Dave will be even happier, he bleeds black and gold.

Over the past couple weeks, the Steelers have had several amazing victories. Will it be enough to win them the Superbowl? Personally, no. Not if the Seahawks play like they did today.

I think it may be enough, considering how easy they ran over Denver today.

seahawks kicked some ass today, but no way they're standing up to steelers defense.

The Seahawks have a snowball's chance in hell.

Go Stillers!

Show's your NFL ignorance I might say. I will pick the hawks to win. They are a much better team top to bottom than the Steelers. #1 offense and now the #1 defense. I say Steelers better start praying for a miracle.

I must say that I foresee a Seahawks win. Especially if they play like they did today. And about damn time. Us folks here in Seattle have been waiting for a trip to the Superbowl for quite some time now.

I say Go Seahawks!

It'll be a great game. The Steeler are playing great ball, but I pick the 'Hawks.

EDIT: I love you, Potaria, but, if you type "Go Stillers!", you lose all football credibility.

I agree with the supporters of the blue and green! Go hawks!

First trip to the big one in their 30 year history, and they do it behind the league MVP's 132 yards. Overrated my ass! I respect the Steelers a lot, but Lofa and the hawk D will mash them like they did the panthers tonight.

This is the superbowl I've wanted, and it will be one to remember.

Of all the descriptors I would have thought to hear about that game, "great" was not one of them. It wasn't a "great" game by any stretch [nor was the Seattle/Carolina matchup], it wasn't even "good" or "mediocre," and I'm not just saying that because I fucking hate the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I'm behind Seattle because I can't stand the Steelers: they don't even deserve to be there after what they [intentionally] did to Carson Palmer. They wouldn't have won that game if they didn't take him out, and they knew it.

that shot on palmer was cheap.

Indeed it was. Kitna was a great backup though, too bad the whole team fell apart after that missed field goal.

Well, I'm not that devastated, since Cincy was by my estimation still a few years away from having a Superbowl team in the first place: there's been a lot of improvement recently but they still need a better defense, particularly against the run. They've got a great offensive squad, they just need to round it out with a better defense and better Offensive and Defensive lines. Frankly, I'm just glad they made the playoffs for once. Sure, I wish they'd have beaten the pants off the Steelers, but I'll take what I can get at this point. Being a football fan in Ohio is generally not a pleasant experience, unless you're an OSU fan [which I'm not].

Try being a football fan in Idaho and Washington. Other than the ocassional UW national title and WSU shot at one, the Seahawks haven't been to the Superbowl in their 30 year history. Until now.
